Taking cuttings during flowering

Yeah I spent a bit of time considering the whole thing before starting! I got over 7K into my building and grow equipment so it's definitely a serious project for us! Haven't decided about doing a journal yet but have been taking photo's if I decide too!

Taking clones in flower is called monstercropping. It's a technique been used for people who don't want to top/cut they're plant and have multiple tops growing out of the plant with having to cause the plant any stress. I have used this technique several times and it works great. Yea the clones have to reveg but once they do they explode with branches coming out everywhere. You could have anywhere from 4-15 tops coming up but lots of them be puny when coming out so I cut a few of them for clones and keep the dominate ones growing to be the main tops. Try it it's easy and clones still root the same way just like if you took them in veg. Just make sure you take clones from the bottom and not so far up that the branch is too hard so the cut can't root and everything will be good. There plenty of info on the web for monstercropping too but I just explained but I'm sure you can see effect of it. I may have some pics of it to post to show it

you can see all the growth I was talking about. Could've let it stay on and trained it to let it catch up with the tall main tops but just used it for cuts. Hopes this helps and don't be discouraged by taking cuts in flower. Just try not to wait forever to take them in flower but you can take them late it's just gonna take a while for them to reveg. Take them with a few pistils and it won't take long for them to get back growing.

^^^Actually was getting really confused till I got to this post lol. Yup monster cropping I thought we were talking about, not lollipopping, not supercropping. Been doing some reading on it re journals etc. and was going to give it a try. Seems like a good way for a perpetual with no veg to speak of just what happens in the cloner. I have heard (again never tried) that it will take twice as long to establish roots but once there it produces multi branched little monsters lol.

I'm glad I could help I honestly didn't know this thread was that old lol I didn't think anyone would respond to it after I posted but I figured it would be good info for somebody to know. It's not hard bro it's the same way as a regular clone taken in veg it just has to reveg but taking long to root is strain dependent. That cuts I showed you took me only 7 days to root and that was in plain water in a cup. She's a very fast rooter every time I clone her. Was the same time in rapid rooter too.

I guess it could be done with no veg but depending on how far you took it in flower it would just prolly finish flowering from the stage it's in so maybe a couple grams off the plant. I don't know for sure I'm just thinking of what may happen but if you take it when first seeing pistils those couple lil hairs will die off and it should be kinda like a clone in veg so once it roots it should make a nice top cola depending on the strain and stretch and how big the clone is. I'd like to see this done may try it myself

Actually they root very quickly when they are taken in FLOWER.... The hard part is getting them back to Vegatative growth.. Now that Takes FOREVER
Second that i have done it they rooted in five days, but then took three weeks to reveg however the result was an extremely bushy plant. Where the little bud on top was produced like thirty shoots

Yeah I figure once I've picked the best 2 pheno's of each then I'll off any extra's above my legal numbers. Not too many mj friends as it's been 25 years since my last grow so might take a while to find somebody wanting them without doing any heavy advertizing. Wife and I just got our cards in July and I built a building dedicated to growing. Using 2-4', 4 bulb T5 for clones & vegging, 3-400w MH for the 4 mothers, and 4- 1000w HPS for flowering. Drain to waste DIY system for flowering stage and hand watering the rest. Using the Humboldt line of nutes.
Sounds like me and my wife Cannabis Couples 4life!!!
