Taking clones from a pollinated flowering plant day 35?

I might have accidentally pollinated a flowering plant and I really want to save the pheno.

I was planning on taking a clone but was delayed and when I went to cut some clones I found a few undeveloped seeds near the bottom of the plant.

Has anyone ever cloned a pollinated, flowering plant? Will the clones have seeds?

If plants are pollinated or seeded they don't kick back or I haven't got them to kick back until I removed all seeds from the bud left on the plant after harvest. The plant wants to finish the seeds even under 24 hour light. But keep the seeds they're always good.

When I find a seed I write what it is on a piece of cigarette tinfoil, wrap the seed in it and toss it in the drawer:)

I'll try taking a clone to see if it goes back to its veg state.

I'm definitely going to try to reveg this plant.

I actually took backup clones from this plant before I flipped it into flower.
Now that it's doing so well, I want to take as many clones from it as possible to do a mono crop next run.
Problem is that I found a male in my flower room day 10 of flower and it might be responsible for the seeds I found, also I'm 35 days into flower.

Oh well, won't hurt to try. I'll report back with my findings. Thanks for the responses. Peace.

Prepare to sit on that plant ( if you clone it ) for a long effing time!! I have done it, and would only do it again in the most extreme circumstances. Living in a legal state with limits, I don't have the luxury of wasting a plant count for a weirded out inbred looking plant to get back to what it used to be. I think you are better off starting from seed and hoping for that pheno. It'll be faster.

If you took backup clones what is the issue other than generational?

I was just trying to save time. I was thinking of taking the cuts from the bottom of the flowering plant, but you bring up a good point. No point in wasting space for possibly non productive clones.

I'll just wait until the clones I took are big enough to give me more consistent clones.

Thanks.

Just spray a branch of the plant you want to save with ga3 at a low dosage

leave it in flower and that branch will stretch and grow

Take cuttings off of that branch and they will root easy

Just cut off the buds after it roots or they can get rot

almost any plant can be cloned its just harder to do it in flower but if they do take they veg like mad

Ok, so I do have a good amount of experience on this, every year, my buddy has a huge ass outdoor grow op, and he is always throwing random ass strains up there, anyways, he isn't even a smoker, and doesn't care about anything except $$, but what I do, is about 20-35 days in, I go and check out all the flowering ladies to see if anything catches my eye, oftentimes I find some interesting phenos, so I take cuts, three of each, and you absolutely CAN take cuts from flowering moms, even WAY into flowering BUT.... it can take up to a month to actually get them to reveg, and often about 20 days to get them to root, sometimes longer.
but they will easily live, I've never had a cutting that rooted, actually die.
Just a LONG ass time in between.
I have three special phenos that I preserved doing that.

You are saving the plant by pollinating her..?

I went to cut some clones I found a few undeveloped seeds near the bottom of the plant.
why are you taking clones when she is giving you seeds?

Has anyone ever cloned a pollinated, flowering plant? Will the clones have seeds?
This clone is easily reversed,...

but you have to ask why?

I don't want to start the strain from seed again and risk losing this pheno. I took some clones at day 35, today is day 50 and they still look heathy.

My mothers are now big enough to start producing legit clones so my new round will be ready by the time I'm done harvesting this one.

Sure...! just be aware clones have ZERO vitality

Vitality is something every living thing NEEDS

its what really makes the difference

between one strain/pheno and the other

good luck

They'll be fine but will take longer to root and several weeks more before they begin normal growth. You'll need patience, but I've done it to save phenos 2-3-4 weeks into flowering. Not something you want to be doing on a regular basis but in a pinch it works fine. I just recently had my pump timer on my cloner crap out and I was away when it happened, they all dried/died. Had to recut all my clones in that batch 2 1/2 weeks into flowering, it's taken 3 weeks but all except 1 strain are now rooted, that last one was 4 weeks into flowering and it's just starting to show bumps now.

I also have taken Clones from flowering plants as far as 4-5 weeks in with similar results each time. Most live (90%), but rooting takes 3- 4 weeks and the glacial growth that ensues above ground is odd and haphazard to say the least. But once the plant snaps out of it, it will veg like crazy. I have had some of my most impressive plants come from a flowering clone. So to save the pheno, go for the clones, just know the longer into flower it is the longer the plant will take to recover. It's going to just sit there mocking you going "you're wasting your time.." as it doesn't grow an inch for weeks on end, but then one day some weird little leaves that look nothing like the right species will sprout, and they will start out slow, just don't over water, because they aren't going to have roots developing anywhere near as fast as your used to. Happy growing.

Look up Monster cropping

The the technique is done by taking a clone from a plant that is mid way into flower and has buds on it

The method is done because flowering plants made loads of branches when put back into veg so people who want to make lots of clones fast or want a crazy bushy plant use this method

Best to cut the buds off if you can or when you can as they can get moldy easy

So yeah I find they don`t always take but if they do they grow well

But if you search monster cropping, you`ll learn something new and you`ll find people who take clones regularly off flowering plants

Everytime I lollipop my plants I always think how I wish I could turn the cuttings into clones. I guess it's the loving nurturing nature I have. lol
You mean in flower? That where I get my clones when I lollipop. Usually I'm veg but sometimes even in flower ( the first few weeks anyway). I always saw it as the most efficient way to clone. You don't waste good tops which would produce a decent amount of bud.
