Tafbang Ceiling Light Grow Part 2

I'm sure most of you already know the story, but for those who don't. I just threw some seeds in a little chandelier filled with miracle grow and just grew with my ceiling lights. and over-time just added a few more lights. I'm using six 23watt cfls, 3 warm 3daylight.

Around 11/24/2010 is when I put the seeds in the dirt.

My previous thread got shut down by a Moderator because things were getting very out of hand with a bunch of arguing and debates over who is a wiser grower. A lot said impossible for anything to grow, and a lot said they would never flower or make it and that they would be stunted.

I've had them on 12hours of night shift (aka flowering mode) for about a month now. All bag seeds. I have 3 plants right now. 1 is already 5 Feet tall sativa dominant strain that has a cola forming that will be bigger than a football. It's still earlier in flowering for it, but it's got a bright future. and it's also a hermie, so plenty good seeds hopefully.

I have another plant that's about 2.5ft tall but stretched as it's trying to get some light, but it's got 3 main colas and I suspect it to be done in a 4-6weeks. It's my most advanced plant.

and 1 more plant that sprouted 1 month later than the other plants. It just showed female about 3days ago. and it's also about 2.5 ft tall but it was never topped like the other plant. It's got a great looking body and set of leaves.

I had a few other plants growing but they were males and I eliminated them.
Will post pics tomorrow or later today just to show you guys how they are doing now.

I was just using the resources I had at the time. Things are positive. and yes, in 1 month this 1 plant has sky rocketed to 5ft tall after only being 2feet tall in those pics

What makes you think your plants going to fill out that much under that lighting? no offense or nothing, i just dont want you to be disappointed. hermie made seeds from plant that pollinated itself= worthless hermie plants. So its a very bad thing its a hermie, you gotta do something or every single plants is gonna be filled with seeds.

yah ... i agree with dark .. you should kill the hermie now... otherwise your whole crop is going to be seeded, and more than likely, the seeds will be hermie prone, and not the best choice to grow with..
and the one that is the most advanced, are you saying it will be done in four or six more weeks, or four or six weeks total time flowering? was just a lil confused on this point..

hermies are how you get feminized seeds. a female polinating itself from hermie makes a fem seed. so hermies are not useless BUT... it will pollinate your other plants and those seed will just me regular none femd seeds....... uhmm also there's just no way your buds could fill out that much specialy sativa dom strains. sativas are NOT known by ther wieght but by there quality... even if they dill fill out that big it would be very VERY airy bud with almost NO wieght.... but not to start shit good luck peace

and where are the pictures of these 5 ft tall plants your talking about.......i also see no bud forming anywhere so how would anything be done in 4-6 weeks

I think you are a bit mixed up. A hermi plant that self pollenates with make mostly hermi disposed seeds. Now take that same pollen from a hermi plant and pollenate another female plant you will get mostly fem disposed seeds.

Well, besides the fact that I said that I wanted seeds...


and the way it was growing and the formation. It may be fluffy but the way it looks like it's going to be contstructed is very evenly and very wide

and bud has been forming, and 1 plant has been flowering for a few weeks already with a few colas. it only has 3 branches because it was the experiment I did by pinching it when it only had 1 node.

I'll take a picture right now with the computer, but it'll be rough until I get a camera. I have not 1 discolored leaf and of course I'm not going to get as much yield as using the sun or a 250-1000watt hps. soo..... stfu

I'm just saying that good things are still possible with a couple light bulbs

These are just proof pictures. I couldn't get another foot of the plant because it was hiding behind it's light helmet :O

but this is just to show a few buds and the size just from ceiling lights in 2 months

I'm standing on a stool in the 1st pic to where my shoes are just at the base of the plant

and yea the lower colas are not getting great lighting, but I'm doing what I can that's most beneficial. And I do kind of pride myself on not having 1 yellow leaf. As I rarely see grows in flowering without yellow leaves on this site.

Please don't flame, I'm limited resources and I'm just saying that things can work this simple...

and not to rub it in. but I'm pretty sure my smallest plant has over 3.5 grams. so I already proved a lot of you wrong on the Poll and the only thing left is to hope that The big plant and the other plant that is really sticky/danky to produce enough to get an OZ to make a success out of just throwing some left over seeds in my ceiling light holder with miracle grow

the branches at the top are getting still growing rapidly.. so the football formation is fading. there are about 6 colas at the top forming, but the branches were really close together at the time... the plant is still growing so they aren't going to all be stuck together to produce a supercola like I pictured... When will it stop If I got some African plant that hits 10+ft it's going to be pretty ridiculous... I'm not using "traditional" light setup

I have sampled the bud and I have a 1/2 a gram curing in an empty spice seasoning bottle.

on one of the colas branches I picked off all the popcorn buds to experiment with the growth compared to the other side of the plant where a cola branch has more popcorn buds.

I smoked a bowl throughout the day yesterday and I got higher than a shwag bowl in the head... but my body felt like I was on heavy painkillers and drunk mobility. but I felt good.. kind of numbing. And I'm guessing that it's because it's still very young because I smoked it's momma from the back I got it from sometime in my past. hmmm

besides the fragrance. My plants were in critical condition once where they were curled up and pretty much dead. But I know that soap has really good effects on Nature and living organisms so I put it in the basket and my plants jumped back to life the next day looking good. I took the soap out and they limped hard the next day. So I just leave it there now.

When the plant was really sick looking the leaves and branches were hanging almost straight down. it looked like a rocket instead of bush trees.. I really got depressed over it... lol, but =\ I'm glad they are living. and I picked a couple of female flower knob things because I thought they were producing seeds and I wanted to see what they were like and if they could germinate... but it I just found out that they are just not yet bloomed flowers yeah... i know, but they were shaped just like seeds and I was unaware

3.... you can't see the 1 of the small ones, and the other small one is the one with the most bud on it that I'm holding in a couple of the pictures.

1 plant is already almost done with about 10grams guessing. But the big plant won't stop growing. seems like the bigger it gets the faster it grows... I really feel like it's going to hit 8 feet. It's been flowering for about 1 week and a half I think, it's got a lot of hairs but just no truly formed colas yet. It just started getting dark red hairs instead of the normal white so I'm guessing it's leveling up in the flowering stage.

the smaller plant smells like dark cat piss and has bright orange and lime colored hairs and some pretty decent trichs on the leaves.

the last one is still very stunted, I'm just going to keep it alive and maybe one day it can have the basket to herself so she can finally blossom

I just counted 27 nodes on the big plant.... there are so many flowering spots I won't bother counting. a lot of the higher nodes have a few nodes themselves that are flowering just as strong as every other node tip... hmmm. I don't know why I'm sharing this. it doesn't sound too good. but it's what's up. the top just keeps growing and spreading... it's not even ready yet to start budding hard.



That pant is probably the biggest plant I've ever seen.... and it still doesn't look like it's budding hard.... fml

This plant better not take away my year

I Just ran into the Plant that looks just like mine! That's what color my pistils are. that same dark red. I have no idea how long until shit gets popping. 1 plant is about to be done in a couple weeks already, but I'm going to have to push the date back on this Sativa, by months.
