after the third use you might also do well to get a soil test

I cant speak from experience, im just reading about no till

but from what I understand, a cooking period isn't required provided you anticipate weeks in advance what needs to be top dressed

so esseintially the soil has had time to "cook" the amendments in to become available to the plant

im no expert and theres better guys here on organics to advise you if that's the way your going

but even if your going no till youll still need more amendments that your using

tomato tone might be enough on it own maybe, with compost...
I think its got a good mix from what ive heard/read

I think its got a good mix from what ive heard/read
I usually make my own custom top-dressing and the ingredients are based on what the plant needs at the time. But when I don't want to mix my own, I prefer Dr. Earth tomato & vegetable formula.
Epsoma Tomato Tone is a good product, but my dogs like to eat it -- and it gives them the "dirt squirts". :o
