Im in the process of building a new room for vegging and im not sure what would be better just some t5's or a 250w hps. The room is about 3.5ft wide and about 6 ft long. The one good thing I see for getting the t5's is that my room is long and 4 4ft t5's would fit perfect and cover the most space.
I never vegged with flourscents b4 only used my 400w hps I have now that I will be using in my flowering room along with another 600w hps. I was looking at the t5 systems on htgsupply.com the htg brand with 4 bulbs. It says it puts out 20k lumens which I figured isnt to bad cuz I have some t8's already that I use as side lighting that would add about another 10k lumens so 30k lumens for vegging about 20 plants to about 1-2ft b4 I flower them. Will that be enough light or would I be better off just going with another hps and call it a day?
