T5's and maintaining a banzai mother

Hi,

I have a light that holds 4x2 foot T5 globes. In it are 24w globes that I used to get my seedlings going, and in a few weeks I hope to be taking some clones from those plants to try and grow some banzai mother plants in soil. My question is if those globes will be enough to keep the banzai mother(s) alive and healthy - without having to fight for it?

T5 floro 4x2 will hold a mom in veg, so you can clone of her easy. but ensure you have say 2 warm reds and 2 cool white to encourage leaf growth too

Thanks for the quick reply, vostok. The globes in there at the moment are all 24w 6500k, you think I need to switch two of them out? That being the case, do I look for globes at the same watt, or go larger since I'd be buying a pair of new globes anyway?

Only Auzzies call light bulbs ...Globes ...lol these ain't bulbs/globes unless you are CFL's use tubes is best ...lol, 6500 kelvin is very good for leaf growth, but you need some red 2700 kelvin for stick development, a combination of both color temps, will also give you correct internodel distances, a very good indication of a correctly grown plant. add a small pc type of fan in their with her to remove any cursed 02 gas around the leaf set, so she get to breathe too.
I learnt to speak in Au, and always wondered why the Auzzies called bulbs ...Globes ...lol Congrats to booting your forth Pm in 4 years ....lol weed legal soon ..maybe?

Haha, that's funny, you're right I am an Auzzie - well, half. Yeah, they're tubes that I'm using. I'm not sure if the internodes distances are correct but if you look at the link in my sig they're very close [now they're under the MH,] but that plant started from seed under the T5's. The T5 setup takes 4 tubes and I can turn them all on and off, or two on and off at a time. As I said I'l like to both clone and maybe keep a banzai/small mother under it for a while... so I can just cut from it and root the clones under the same lights before putting them under 600w MH. Thats the idea anyway.


As for the T5's, man, last night I was trying to teach myself a bit of low stress training and broke one of two new tops off my best plant, basically, so the T5's have now been re-purposed to see if I can turn that heartbreaking mistake into a clone/mother/just keep it alive. I cleaned it up a bit, clonex'd it and put it under a dome and T5's... here's hoping.


As for the PM, he is a complete fuckwit and I'm glad he's gone. Or government is a parody of a real government - It's not meant to be taken seriously. ha! Maybe not legal weed but possibly back to decriminalizing it! It's been decriminalized in a couple states, a couple times. Babysteps...

I wasn't sure if I could mend it or what, I had to make a decision and, well, hopefully it lives on...
