T5 HO Dezert Grow

Haven't grown for several years and have decided to get back into the game. The cabinet design was inspired by a 420 Magazine article about building a grow cabinet for $100 or less. Now that $100 benchmark isn't my goal, I just liked how compact and easy the Sterilite cabinet went together. Right now I am working on installing reflective material on the walls and doors.

For lighting I'm gonna use a 2' 4 bulb T5 HO fixture I was originally using to grow corals. I have an additional 2 bulb fixture as well that I am debating using. Haven't decided if this will be a soil or coco/perlite grow.Ventilation will be a couple of pc fans with a diy carbon scrubber. Also considering purchasing a desktop hepa filter for the room this will be in.

That's about as far as I have gotten. Ran out of tape and reflector so hopefully today or tomorrow I will have the doors done. Need to find something to seal the gap around the doors. Would have liked to omit the top shelf for more room but without it there wasn't anything to keep the doors from swinging in. Gives me a spot to store stuff and route cables. Was thinking about cutting a hole in the shelf to route the exhaust through to a carbon scrubber and fan. This would leave more room in the grow space.

Got the doors done today. Ended up covering the entire door because it helped with light escaping through the plastic.

Sorry Dude! ...but those 2' T5's just suck...not enough lumen but great for germing and some early veg
those T5's that do fly the job, are the 4' T5's strapped together in bundles of 4-8 tubes and held close to the leaf
within and inch or 2, look to increasing your yield with a cfl rack or if you got the cash a led lite

Picked up 4 of these today. 120mm 44cfm 12dba fans. Still not sure how I am going to run these. I figure 2 for input and 2 for output.
