T5 aqaruim lights or 250w hps-hid combo

first time trying to grow indoors...1 have a 5' x 5'x30" space...Which would be better to use in this space....the t5 fluorescent or hps-hid combo 250 watt.....thanks

Oh and by the way i can get the new hps-hid 250w for 135.00 includes 2 bulbs, hood, dual ballast...and the T5 for about the same

hps all the way! will produce alot more bud than the T5

I veg with T5's and absolutely love the lack of heat, and the fact that I can get the lights within an inch or so of the plants with no burning. I have EXCELLENT growth form my plants vegging with T5's. I havent flowered with them, but have seen excellent results also. I use a 6 bulb fixture to veg, thats 30,000 lumens, and an inch off the top of the plants I am getting almost every bit of use out of those 30k lumens.
