Switching lights back to 18/6 once flowering starts

What happens when this is done? More time for buds to grow bigger?

No you don't get bigger buds.. You get no buds as your plant will revert back to vegatative growth again..

Absolutely correct...not only that, but you will also stunt your plants growth for a day or 2...the only plants able to flower under an 18/6 light cycle are autoflowering strains...
