Switching from t5 HO floros to 600w hps for veg. Problems?

Hi fellow rollituppers! Im on my first grow ever doing great. All plants are very healthy and strong. Theyre exactly 1 month old from seed and growing vigorously. No stretching. Very tight nodes. Theyre little bushes. But i do have a question. Im growing with 2 sunblaze 44 for a total of 8 4' HO floros with 2700k cool bulbs. The problem is the plants branches are growing out the sides and since ive got the lights about 3" away, the branches are not getting much light. Another issue is that some are growing a lil taller and ikeep having to adjust the lights to hang at an angle. I have a 600w hortillux super hps bulb that im planning on using to flower, but i was wondering ic i should just switch to using the hps for my last 3weeks of vegging then just switch the photoperiod to flower... Any opinions welcome

You should replace the flouros in your T5 with Daylight Spectrum 6500K bulbs. Available at almost any hardware store. T5 sounds like a nice light, be a shame to let it go to waste. Trust me, get yourself some 6500K spectrum bulbs, any brand. And you'll be set. Also, you may want to think of arranging your lights in a fashon that puts light on both sides. A T5 WOULD be better, but I like my CFL setup. over 25K in Lumens and coverage from several angles. But i'd LOVE to have a T5 system.

And then, of course...use the HPS for flower.
