Hey everyone I've made up my mind and finalized my DIY grow box. Im running a small 150 Watt HPS ballest on a 18 on, 4 off light cycle with two fans. One fan is intake, the other is venting the light and box with a DIY carbon filter on the end to prevent smell. The strain is Mohan Ram from sweets seeds and has been growing for 2 weeks. I started it in a peat pellet. The reason I decided on this particular genetic was the white widow and afghan cross, two personal favorites. Im using fox far grow big in small doses during the vegetative stage, then finishing her out with fox farm tiger bloom all in a 50/50 mix of perlite with soil. You can view updates as well as pictures and strain info below. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO COMMENT AND POST OPINIONS!

You mean 18/6 the day has 24 hours not 22 unless you on mars :). And i would suggest not just for you but for anyone growing in a small box to run one plant because you can save the seed while doubling the plant with the extra space, this way the plants don't compete for light with each other. Other than that cheers, i will be running a similar setup . One plant on 150 HPS is very good, I'm not sure if the ballasts for 150watts are interchangeable with Metal Halide bulbs for Vegetative growth. Scrogging works to increase the yield along with lollipoping the lower leaves. Anyways the setback for many people is always smell so be ready for that cause once it flowers its gonna smell hard.

Hey everyone. After a very slow start do to my error I finally got the plant off the ground. I originally was using all perlite (hempy style grow) with a peat pellet and had little results after a week in. Frustrated I decided to mix the perlite with a light seed starter medium 50/50 and gave the plant small doses of fox farm grow big. Finally I got a decent responce and the late bloomer began to pull through. About 3 days ago it showed its female hairs, ive been feeding it lightly with tiger bloom and big bloom ever since. Ive been low stress training for a while now but I seem to either one, handle the plant to roughly or two, the stem is very weak in this particular genetic because ive broken two branches very easily. One was very small and unable to be saved the other was a main node and was able to be taped. Hopefully shell recover in a day or two. I know what to expect with this strain now and plant #2 will be started soon aswell. Updated pics are below.
