Damn, gutted for you 5.5 inches at 49 days, at least you have the smell. It does look like you may have over watered in the begining, I have just slowed mine from over watering but they seem to have perked up a bit now that I left them without water for 2 days.

Cause perlite retains a lot of water I guess it is pretty easy to over water them at the start and stunt their growth. My mix is 4 potting soil, 1 perlite, 1 verm. Hope they are late bloomers and surprise you.

Thanks, but I don't think there will be too many surprises here.

56 days since planting.

Fast Bud #2 52 days old (13 days in flower)
Not looking too great at all, but I will try and finish her. I'm guessing she will take another 3-4 weeks?

Speed Bud 51 days old (26 days in flower)
No clear trichs left. All milky with about 3% dark amber. This is supposed to take 5 weeks to finish flowering, so by that reckoning, harvest day should be in 9 days time. I have a feeling it will be ready before then though. There are not many fan leaves due to it's size and they are not all completely yellowed yet. Does anyone think it's ready for harvest now? Should I put it in the dark today for 48 hours in preparation to harvest?

Update: Decided to harvest her today. Got 8.5 grams weight bud from her and tiny bit of charas which I just smoked which tasted beautiful. Buds were very sticky. Got them drying in a cardboard box now and can't wait to give a smoke report. I would like to grow this strain again without the mistakes as it's so fast. Be great to do about 5 at once.

That is pretty quick, and like you say if you get it dialed in you may see a lot better harvest, did you leave it in the dark for 48 hours or just harvest it on day 51?.

Just checked my girls and don't think they are going to make it had to transplant twice second time as it turned out my soil was slow release and was burning them but now they don,t look happy. Who knows maybe if they survive I will get a 4.5 inch plant .

Nah, didn't bother with the dark. Couldn't be bothered for an eighth and the trichs looked sticky icky enough already to me. it was a nice tasting , psychoactive and visual smoke with not too much body stone.

The Fast Bud is 59 days old today, 20 days in flower and looking like I'll be lucky to yield a decent spiff. Not to worry though as I'm sure there's useful meds in there somewhere, so nothing is wasted.

Looks like they were over watered and they needed a bit more light probably. Id say about 15000 lumens a plant gives them the light needed for photosynthesis. Also fresh air is a must for that many plants. Next time try adding some Co2 if you can not always add fresh air to the plants: Sugar, Yeast and water make a good source of Co2 or try Baking soda and vinegar, but Yeast being a live ingredient it will give more Co2 throughout its life. More light, Co2 and like you said better drainage soil so the roots can breath (the roots need oxygen, fresh air again) would have made healthier plants. I admire you not giving up man, it just takes practice! You had the genetics so good job there! Goodluck on your next grow! .
