sweet from botanicare

Hi all. So I used to use the 2 part dnf grow and bloom and I am in the transition to going organic. right now I'm using the pro bloom soil and cal mag. For carbs I'm using carbo logic from dnf. I like to stick to one company's products when possible. I was thinking of using sweet on my next grow. I wanted to know what the difference is in the 3 different ones. I wastold by my local hydro shop that each one adds the smell and flavour of what ever is on the label. Berries. grape or citrus. They said they are all interchangable. Looking online it looks like the citrus was for lemon and orange trees. I've been trying to seach for info, I even sent multiple e-mails to botanicare asking about their product and they do not respond to questions apparently. Their customer service is crap. I also wanted to know if all 3 are organic. Thanks for any help everyone.

someone on here a few months ago told me about free samples from botainicare, and i followed the dudes directions and so far i have gotten two smallish free bottles of the grape sweet from them.. i have used it on my last two or three grows, and i have to say that i haven't noticed any kind of grape taste to my buds.. i have the second bottle here in my hands and it says on the front all natural mineral supplement, so i guess its organic... i continue to use it still as it doesn't seem to hurt anything and i'm almost done the first free bottle and still have one more to go... like i said, not sure if it helps any, but it hasn't hurt, so i'll just keep using it till i run out of it.. i wouldn't go out and buy another bottle after i use up all my freebies though..

The hydro shop guy is basically full of shit.:finger: It's not gonna happen, but they want you to think it will.;-)

You can go ahead and spend the $$$ if you want and find out for yourself, OR, just go to the grocery store and spend ~$2.25/16oz of blackstrap molasses and get the same or better results.

Really read the ingredients if you think I'm BS'ing you.

I think skunk just ran an article to clear that up. It doesn't mean organic. Apparently organic means it comes from something that was alive. natural means no chemicals but it can contain minerals from rock, salt etc. but still good to use.

Thank you to everyone. My hydro shop said it was just a carb additive and they hadden't heard much about it. I have a much cheaper and fully organic powder from DNF. Has anyone tried Sweet Leaf from advanced nutes? I know on their website they come right out and insult botanicare as a cheap knock off that doesn't work.

I finally got a reply from botanicare.

Hello,
No our sweet product is not organic. The difference between the
three is the flavor how ever it is not made for a specific type of
plant. You can use it on whatever plant you would like it is intended to
give it that sweet berry, citrus, or grape flavor.

everything, almost everything the hydro store sells is complete bullshit to rip off you consumers that dont know what you are buying! Get unsulphured blackstrap, or grandmas molasses, same exact thing just not as dirty as the sweet.

that stuffs just overpriced molasses..and its not gonna do much for flavor except maybe make it a little sweeter..which molasses will do just as well..what youre really paying for is the pretty label and ad in high times..its all about the marketing

yea its safe..no way molasses will mess things up..the last 3weeks is the most important time to add lots of sugars to so the timing will be perfect especially since u havent been giving them any so far

Ive heared molasses and hydro don't go to well together. Is this true?

well think about it this way,, you know the old saying slow as molasses...well using it hydroponically is going to make your pumps and everything else(slow as molasses)

That's prety much what I hear. I'm using Carbologic from DNF. I figure it's just another same type of product. The only diff really that I know is the one I'm using is fully organic and it's also really sheap. I get like 500g for $8 CDN. It uses 0.3g/liter (1.2g/gallon). Molasses costs me $4 to go buy it, but it's also a little messier to use than a dry powder, and at 1 tbsp/gallon it gets used up a little faster so it works out a bit. I don't mind a little more for the convience, but sweet from botanicare and sweet leaf from Advanced nutes are a hell of a lot more $$$. Thanks everyone, I think I will keep my money in my pocket.
