Yeah man I wouldn't do that shit, I mean yea its really all the same but that nasty ass shit is going to make your soil reak, then your bud is gonna smell like swamp, just backpack water in or find a clean reliable stream. Boom. I like growin next to creeks thats just me, lol

Would you drink it?

No.

So why would you give it to your plants?
because what is not good for human consumption may be just fine for plants....people and plants are 2 totally different organisms. would you eat a steak? of course, would you try and feed a plant a steak? of course not.

your reasoning for not using said water is pretty stupid.

to the OP, 5.0 is pretty acidic and will eventually lower the PH of your soil. if you can figure out a way to balance the PH then there is no reason why the water wouldnt be fine. bring some baking soda out with you to raise the PH up before you use it.

i got a bilge pump i plan on pumpin the water with,if i put a filter on it does anyone think it would be ok? i figure by doin that it would remove the sediment from it...was goin to pump it into 5gallon jugs...if i have to i suppose i could PH the water then...was thinking of making a reserve for rain water also..maybe even keeping it full and airating it ......

i mean it wouldnt be nothing to lug another marine battery up there and hooking it up to a little air pump to airate the water

I don't know for sure, but I think a plumber told me 1 time take 2 pipes 1 a little bigger than the other close to the swamp the water will not be deep. Put the big 1 in then drop the other down in it,keep picking it up and drop back down till you get to the water after it has run through the ground it's cleaner.
Maybe a plumber or someone that knows what I'm talking about can tell ya how? It's the old way for putting a well down with no equipment.Peace

These pusses being like dont use it coz it smells bad ahahahahaha.....

Try sniffing your ferts champs.

I'd want to know what was causing acidity.

I'd also want to look around the edges for non-swamp-dwelling plants that are doing OK.

I bet if you look online theres info for farmers about the makeup of the swamp.
