Supplemental Led/Dimmer (cob)

Hey all.

I recently acquired and assembled 4 1825s which I am pushing at 800-850ppfd in a 3x3.

I have 2 questions ;

1 - How do I make my potentiometer less sensitive? Barely move it and you lose 15% yet the first quarter of knob turn leaves it at 100%

2 - I now want to add supplemental lighting. UVA/B
Can this be done affordably using leds?

Adding uvb leds are to expensive for uvb t5 bulbs have a look at http://www.htgsupply.com/categories/grow-light-parts/grow-light-bulbs/t5-bulbs the agromax uvb bulb, listen to the warnings you can burn your plants if your not careful.
