SuperLocker 3.0 Question

Im thinking about buying the SuperLocker 3.0 grow locker for my small apartment. I just have a couple questions:

  1. I have a lot of people over and need the locker to be discreet. The website guarantees no smell (probably with tomato plants) will there still be no other odor with cannabis? Even when budding?
  2. I dont want to noticeably increase my electricity bill. How much electricity does the cabinet use? Equal to a T.V or more?
  3. How much do you think this cabinet can yield? I would guess 6oz but id like to hear what you guys think!

1. An "industrial grade carbon filter" should be able to easily control the odor of a budding plant. If you want to be extra cautious look into growing some "low" odor strains but I wouldn't think you'd need to worry about this.
2. It's tough to tell exactly how much wattage it uses from the information provided in the link. I would email that company, they would be able to tell you the exact amount of watts.
3. You aren't going to get a serious answer on here about you're yield... at least one person will say "about a pound". But that box certainly has the potential to get a solid yield and I think you and your plants are really going to enjoy it.

Good luck and happy growing!

I've never had carbon filters alone do the job. Even scrubbing with a seperate filter on exhaust. Halfway into 12/12 and shits getting stinky past the cf.

Other methods of odor control may be required. Perhaps drop a negative ion generator in the exhaust fliter.

I have a cabinet (different company), and the cf will get 98%. I duct outside now so no big deal. Very faint smell, if any, sometimes. And dissipates in the fresh air.

Although if that 2% is contained in a room or garage, when you first walk in, the smell is really strong during last half of flower! I thought for sure I had a leak or something, but no.

I put a small container of Ona gel in the exhaust duct, and that keeps my worries down!

There are some threads on RIU of growers who have tents in apts. and talk about quarterly inspections and how to hide plants, etc. If I was in an apt, I would start with a micro-grow, the size of a large microwave with LEDs. That way you can transport it if you have to, compared to a full-size cabinet IMO.

I have a Superlocker than I use a 600w Blackstar LED with. I would advise against the Superlocker and get a 3x3x6 tent and a good filter and fan if you can. You will save a lot of money and can grow much bigger plants in not that much more space. If you get the locker, you need to swap out the Hydro system to a 2 bucket 3 Gal DWC Bucket system; the locker can't do more than 2 plants. I had no smell with my locker. The filter that comes with it is not that good compared to a carbon filter that you can get from the hydro shop. You can get a nice fan for the carbon filter and put a speed controller on it to reduce speed and noise. Skip the locker and get a 3x3 tent.

Do you have a way to duct the air outside?
