hello there everybody!! They have all broken soil and are now all growing, 'Glory be unto God, the greatest of all creators'. had those tiny seedlings under 1000w hps lamps nearly killed them, the little soil pots they are in nearly dried right out in 29 hours, phew! damn near close that was, so i looked about hard and found this second hand thing called a nebula 4 propogation light, it must be the old version before the t5 lightwave. even still it takes 4 55w PL tubes which is really pretty good and it cost me next to nothing with 2 tubes inside it. so i switched off the HPS and put them lil babies under the Nebula so as to avoid drying up this is just until i transplant them into the final homes 40 litre home made Aquafarm/DWC systems, 20litres of clay pebbles in top bucket and 20 litres of water in bottom bucket giving them 40 litres of root space in total. Wish me luck everyone as i am a beginner and am afraid i will not be able to handle such big plants, but i have experience of growing big tomato plants clematis, passion flowers, grape vines tropical chilli plants etc hence thought id try grow my special favourite wonder weed and save me dealing with little boys who are wannabe gangsters and thugs. just spent 4 days studying cameras and photography in order to figure out how to take/make pictures/movies under HPS lights without getting those god damnned bloody black lines running through the pic. i learnt that this is beacuse a HPS light switches on and off 100s of times a second, so a camera with a very fast shutter speed will be able to take pictures under HPS lights. But cameras with very fast shutter speeds are very expensive so a fairly fast shutter speed camera coupled with ISO settings white balance etc is the next best thing to have and is also able to take pictures really very well. so i went out this morning and got me a camerato take the pics with, i got a fuji finepix which does the job (no lines in pics)if you fiddle the settings. SO TOMMOROW I WILL POST THE FIRST PICTURES.
ANYWAY TILL LATER MY ESTEEMED RESPECTED GROWERS OF ROLL IT UP AND KEEP SOWING 'THE SEEDS OF SERENITY'!!!!

Hello everybody at RIU, just wanted to let you know i have G13 haze and Lemon skunk as well as the strains above, basically, one plant each. I AM A BEGINNER AT GROWING THE GREEN HENCE I WOULD VERY MUCH APPRECIATE OPINIONS, VIEWS AND ADVICE ETC SO PLEASE DONT HOLD BACK TELL ME WHAT YOU REALLY THINK THE PROBLEMS ARE. i will try to keep you people updated as regualrly as possible, the journal is mainly to help me keep track of flowering dates and check on plant progress/growth. i dont see a lota people here i hope more will join as the ride starts. i will be putting them into their new and final homes ( aquafarm/DWC hybrid systems )in the next few days, jus waitin on them clay pebbles. wanna get them in there when they are still young to get the best effect, they have been getting A.N Piranha Fungi and superthrive vitamins with their wateri was told to only use the fungi for the first two weeks of veg and flowering, i think i will extend that to first three weeks of veg and flowering to get the best effect, i have some A.N Tarantula and Voodoo Juice in the post, i wanna use all three of them together and make some huge mean, ass kickin, tree trunk size roots. The way i see things, the veg period in a plants life is the most crucial fundamnetally important period, it is during the veg that the plants create their framework, structure under and above the ground, the size of the plants rooots, stem, branches, leaves is directly linked to the end yield. To unlock the plants genetic potential you have to allow it to make the structure it requires in order to provide you with that awsome yield. This method of thinking and treating plants has worked very well for me over the years growing many different types of plants which is how i learnt that a huge root system usually means a huge yield. anyway im blabbing now so il be off an dsee you people later!!!

DAY 8 VEG
Just a quick update on plant health/growth instead of blabbering away, the ladies are all looking good they look really happy under that nebula light thing i really should put two more tubes in there to get best effect from the nebula, they are all short and squat and dont seem to be stretching much i got the light about 6 inch away, should i put it closer do you think?? afraid they will get burnt if i put too close to the actual fluores tube. I need to get them a fan to blow them about and make them stems strong

DAMN DAMN DAMN, MY ELECTRICS HAVE BLOWN!!!!! MY DARLINGS HAVE BEEN IN THE DARK NOW FOR 28 HOURS, LOOKS LIKE THEY WILL DIE IN THE DARK AND COLD BY THE TIME I GET A QUIET ELECTRICIAN IN. THIS WAS MY DREAM PROJECT, IM AN ABSOLUTE NEWBIE BUT AN AMBITIOUS ONE, when my boss (man i grow for) took me to see the room before we got started i told him straight away that the 100A circuit breaker box has only one 20amp circuit breaker in it currently and that more circuits breakers (amps)will need to be added that i will need about 80amps in total max. He told me that dont worry il do it myself, you GET STARTED, so i did get started. NOw 6 weeks into the grow he finally decided to add 2 more circuit breakers onto the panel and increase the amps. after fitting it all on we left it working, went back next morn to find everything switched off, no power at the circuit breaker box at all not even the ceiling lights are comin on. THE ARE A FEW LESSONS I HAVE LEARNED HERE, 1; NEVER TOUCH ELECTRICS GET A PROF OR SOMENE WHO DOES ELECTRIC WORK FOR HIS LIVING AND MAKE SURE THE ELECTRICS ARE FULLY UPGRADED IF NEEDED BEFORE ANY GROWING OR GROW ROOM BUILDING HAPPENS AT ALL. 2; GET PLUMBER IN BEFORE ANYTHING IS DONE TO BRING WATER TO THE GROW AREA. 3; SET UP THE ENTIRE GROW ROOM AREA (hang lights, extractor fans, plug points, wires off the floor, oscillating fans, do all building work) BEFORE ANY GROWING IS DONE.
i have really learnt my lesson unfortunately the hard way, it is not my fault, i did insist to my boss he get the electrics sorted on day 1 but he ignored me, and put off upgrading the electrics till now 6 weeks in. i will never make those mistakes ever again, even if it means spending the entire first month just preparing the grow area and making everything ready.wish me luck everyone, trying to get an electrician in and sort it out. They are only babies so i think they wont survive being in constant darkness for 48-72 hours with the cold 10-15c temperature.
