Seeds from a clone that was stressed induced to hermie.......it is the Pre 98.....the yield is pretty low but with training you can get decent numbers.....

MUddy ish is not bad it's only like that when it is really saturated........and don't worry about the extra castings.......I accidentally added more worm castings on accident my first batch too......everything went fine.......
Thanks a lot for your help again. It settled the worry wart in me. I've put a lot of time and money into this, and want it to go well. I always thought soil would be easier than hydroponically, but my last grow turned out incredibly weak in soil. I think I had some major pH trouble and heat issues. Anyway, I'm hoping subcool's recipe will make the whole process easier and more successful.

One thing I did wrong this time around is throwing on the 1000w light too soon, I think my plants were getting too much light. Who'd of thunk? Too much light!

No prob......always that way when things are new to me too.....but once you run a few batches you will pay less attention to the smaller details......and for sure subs recipe will definitely make life a lot easier......

I liked my RR it was a freebie. Im sure yours has that super skunky smell with a undertone of meat............... Its a weird smell but good high and nice dense nugs. My Sour Cream, Nirvana White Widow, and Pineapple Express went into their SS and into 12/12 on the 9th ill post some results when i start to see em
I can relate to the meaty smell ... by week 4 of flowering, all the combined oily scents are almost like a slow-simmered corned beef. A really thick DeadFunky (In a good way) smell. It's an addictive smell. Be warned. :)

Just started WW from seed using Super Soil. This is my first grow and a friend of mine hates soil but I am gonna try this method because of all of the rave reviews. Tell me what you all think.

Hey Sub...sorry to post this here, but the 2010 revised SS thread is closed. Wanting to get away from FFOF so I'm getting ready to make my first batch of SS and all I was wondering about was in the pictures you show 2 bags of BioBizz, but it's not mentioned in your recipe. I had never even heard of BioBizz, but after seeing the pictures, I researched it. It seems to be another type of soil, is that correct? Do you mix that with the Roots as your base soil or what?
Thanks for the help.

wow nice and crystally!! whats the genetics on that smh? those plants are made for supersoil, what size pots are you in?

im having a prob with premature yellowing on one of my vortex phenos, they are getting kinda yellow at week 5, id like to keep em lush and green till at least week six, i think the prob could be in my pot size of 3 gal, but then again my other vortex pheno stays green and lush till week 8 but shoots out a stamen or 2 during week 3 (im guessing because of my heat and problem with hotspots) it results in prob 20-40 seeds per half# so no big deal in my book. i gotta keep both for now, vortex is so bomb, cant wait for my plushberry to be all grown up.

I was reading more and just realized many of you and subcool actually use the supersoil mix from start to finish (from clone/or somewhat established plant.) I've been vegging for just under a month from seed in a 3 quart pots adding some molasses and light feedings to help them along, and I'm about ready to transplant into the supersoil since the plants are getting root bound.

Here's my question, would it be best to wait for the 12/12 switch after the transplant? I've been doing 24/7, so the plants are incredibly short and bushy; not even a foot tall with a ridiculous amount of nodes, so I could easily keep them vegging for another 2 weeks to be safe. My main worry is there will be too much nitrogen in the soil if I switch to 12/12 too soon. (Is that even possible with this sort of organic recipe? I'm still trying to figure out how soil 'works.' I know the difference between insoluble and soluble nitrogen, but maybe it works different altogether with organics? Hydro is easier to understand. PPM and PH, done.) Will the flowering stage actually benefit from this? I know the plants get huge, so maybe my concern isn't really a concern. Thanks for any help all!

yes, wait for the 12/12 after transplant. approx two weeks. you dont want to throw your plant into flower after stressing it from a transplant. subcools strains also yield much better with a little increased veg time.

Soil is easier to understand, much easier. Mix, feed with water. Only supplement feed if you see plants have see visible nutrient deficiencies or know you plant well.

Also, see subcools section on Super Soil. It answers all your questions in there. and pretty much any future super soil question you have.

but really, mix, let it 'cook', water, harvest fantastic buds.
