right basically, i just want some bud!!! got a 60 watt lamp which puts out some nice light and alot fo heat :fire: not sure if its going to work because it dried my PPP up in like half a day because it was too close, i think.... anyway, its a Lowryder and its germinating in some new dish cloth in my draw.

When i see a nice root i will stick it in a small plastic cup with normal soil, will then keep it on a 24 hour light cycle if thats right? any help on that will be appreciated! its going to be fed on just normal water as i want to try it without all the chemicals as im sure this can be done. as soon as i plant it should i light it up straight away as im not 100% sure on that. will get some pics when its planted etc, wish me luck! :weed:

What do you mean 60 watt lamp? Like a regular light bulb? That's not going to work.

You can start it in a small plastic cup, but you will need to plan to transplant to something bigger in a couple of weeks.

Normal soil. Hmmm. Do you mean just dig some dirt out of the backyard?

Plants need nutrients (chemicals). You can't live on only water and dirt and neither can pot plants.

Read This: GrowFAQ. It will give you the information you need. Good luck.

Don't take our criticism to heart, we all come in peace, lol. But everything shnkrmn syas is true. 60w of any light will not suffice for any weed plant. The main purpose of giving the plants the nutes is to keep em healthy and thriving. It's just like any girl, if u can keep her happy, then she'll produce, lol. Heat is bad! Ditch that light for a bunch of 6500k and 4500k cfls in the highest wattage u can find or afford, and u might be able to make it work for a month or so. U need circulation, humidity, propper temps etc... thought of these?

hmm, i see, would any commercial plant growth nutrients work, e.g miracle grow or what ever... and im using a standard bulb yes, and its soil , not mud out of the backyard. LOL! ill look for some bulbs, could i simply put a CFL bulb in a normal desktop lamp?

Thanks for the help, its much appreciated ;)

A Sylvania Cool=White 65W bulb will cost you about 16 bucks. You can put it into any lamp it will fit into (the bulb part is kind of big!). It throws the light equivalent of 250W regular bulb.

You can use fertilizer from a garden store or hardware store if you really don't want to use marijuana-specific nutrients. Get something balanced. (there are three numbers on ferts, usually looks like 10-10-10 or 8-30-15. Something balanced like the first example will probably get you through a grow, more or less. Other folks on the boards here know way more than I do about that, though. Good luck.:weed:
