Super lemon haze?

Hey has anyone grown super lemon haze by ghs lately. I did a pack of fems like 9 years ago and one was amazing, I kept it for years before I stopped growing for a couple years. I miss that plant. I’m hesitant to even buy from them just, I doubt the original stuff is still in the mix. Anyone find something good there lately in their seeds? Or have a good suggestion as a alternative replacement now (seeds or a place i could get a cut)

I recently bought DNA's lemon skunk but like the SLH, I'm sure the LS is not as dank as it used to be but might as well try I guess.

Real Gorilla seeds lemon drizzle is a wifi og x old super lemon haze supposed to be bang on maybe worth a look

I grew one freebie Lemon Skunk from DNA around 2013, and it is still my favorite lemon candied cannabis ever. It's the reason I got the LVTK from CV, and the Boomtown from GP. That LV Lemon Skunk cut used in the original genetics is like a holy grail to me. I think it's the reason the LVTK was so good, not the Triangle. But I love TK too, lol!

Those Welchies are looking great on your site. Kudos on doing the thing, cheers!

I'd say they're (lemon skunk/slh) probably just about as good as they were back then. I grew both back then and grew lemon skunk semi recently. The lemon skunk never did knock your dick in the dirt but it's just as "good" and tasty as I remember it. I'd say you could grow 20-25 of them and almost be guaranteed to find one or two of the las vegas phenos.

Thank you, that pic on the site for welchie is actually my lvtk, its the mom of the welchie cross. I'll be updating the pic once my 2 welchies get further along in flower. Testers have posted several pics of the welchie on the CP forum but I'm waiting to use my own photo for the site.

That's awesome to hear about the lemon skunk, lemon candied flavor is what I'd love to find. That is actually why I bought lvtk and boomtown as well, lol. Just my lvtk ended up being all tk and no L. skunk. Thanks for the info, cheers

That's good to hear. I'll run the whole 6 pack and start there, if needed I'll grab a couple more packs. I just wasn't sure because you hear so many conflicting views but good to hear from someone that has ran it in the last few years.

I'll be real and say that the majority of them were on the edge of being trashed midway through flower and I wish I had. Nothing that didn't smell strongly of lemons around week 4 were worth growing IMO.

It's like blueberry, you're looking for a relatively rare expression. If you're growing out 3 lemon skunks from a color coded sampler pack you're probably gonna shit talk lemon skunk. Knowing this and that you're probably more in it for breeding stock I'd recommend digging into it, just know you're gonna trash a bunch of plants on the process. Who knows, maybe you'll find something nice in your 6.

Thanks guys. I might try out the drizzle....or I might wait until I go through my Bodhi stash before I do a decent size pheno hunt on the ghs stuff. But by that point it might be a moot point because I’m betting by the time I get through those I’ll have more than enough keepers. I just miss that plant...but no point living in the past I guess.

Oh yeah, if they suck at week 4 of flower they're gone. I bought the pack knowing most would be scrapped midway through. I also got 4 packs of nirvana seeds and same thing with those any less than stellar plants will get pulled right away. Only grabbed the l skunk because I had to order overseas to get female seed's c99 so grabbed them both. The fs c99 is the same way, I should have tossed the weaker two in mid flower but let them finish because they smelled great just weak resin and stringy buds.

GHS Super Lemon Haze - Finished at 67 days with CO2 - I picked up the clone about 5 years ago from a friend in L.A.. Finicky. Slow veg. Turns on after flip with pretty good stretch. Grows indica shaped nugs often the size of K2 footballs before drying, but it's less dense like a sativa. Smells like straight lemons. Packs an even hybrid punch with high potency. Before all the testing ballooned (again), it tested at 22% same as my GG#4 clone at that time.SLHfinished.jpgSLHfinished2.jpg

Right? But still resinous considering under a DE with not the coolest temps. Yes, some of this new stuff looks real glitterati and purple, but it doesn't mean this isn't just as good. It amazing how many of my med patients prefer the BD and SLH over Glue and almost anything I've grown. It's fun giving a BD hater a "new sample" of unlabeled BD only to have them say they love it. Classic. Blind tests are the best.
