Super Lemon Haze misshap coutionary tale/stupidity

This is my 20th or so Super Lemon Haze grow and I absolutely love this strain. T he past 2 times though Instead of soil or dwc I tried using rockwool slab top drip ,the kind that go into the long tray's. Last time I really messed up and let them get way way to big and when they finally started to flower the buds were just small so the yield turned out to be shit. So this time i figured i would flower them when only 6" tall from clones. Every thing went great at first but they just kept growing and growing in 12/12 and are once again root bound but now a few of the Kolas look damn near like Dr. Grinspoon strain and the rest are a little to airy. Weird looking for SLH to say the least.
I have 3 in each row and 3 rows for a total of 9. There around 6 1/2ft tall. Way to tall for slabs but i figured since i started 12/12 they would have been smaller, not the same damn size.
SO, needless to say this next time I'm going with what i know and love, organic soil.

I'm in the last 2 weeks now, so it's probably to late to really try anything as the last week is going to be flushing.
Next time im using soil and think I might give SCROG a go because i don't like em that close to my hood.
Thanks for the reply.

if the plant is root bound you wont see flower production. Get a bigger container for your soil. SLH is kind of temperamental when it comes to light. Stay with the 18/6 for 4 weeks then switch to 12/12. As far as the stretch is concerned you are going to have to get good at super cropping/LST/etc. if you like SLH and want to keep it inside.
