My tents have always been in a room on the 2nd story of the house, however i cant afford to run an air conditioner for just that room this year... ive been thinking of moving the tents to the basement since its around the same temp all year down there (in the 60s) think this will solve the problem??

That is what I am working on doing right now too, just trying to figure out my humidity situation down there.

dehumidifier!!! lol, i already have one lined up for the room ill be using in the basement... tends to get pretty humid down there sometimes.

I'll be shutting down in mid July and starting back up in mid September. I should have enough in jars to smoke right through the next grow :)

I couldn't keep it cool enough in here

i was looking to shut down around july aswell until i realized the basement stays good temps year round... ill probably have to dial in my setup since its a whole new environment but im thinking year round growing is comfortably in my future.

Wish I had a basement! but not just because of heat issues(though sometimes) it gets Hot in Britain...mostly cloud & rain though...

Built my room in a cold cellar in the basement which was just wasted space, since it was close to the furnace and air conditioner, I tied into the main furnace plenum and DIY'd a vent into the new room. Now it's air conditioned in the summer, heated in the winter by running an inline fan to suck nice clean (electronic air fitter on my furnace) air into the room as needed. Costs about $5/month to run the inline fan, heaven, and no worries about cold or heat year round :)

Here's a before...

im running two 32" x 32" x 63" tents, one with a 400w hps and one with a 240w led panel in my basement... i let both exhaust into the room and temps still stays great... also purchased a 65 pint haire dehumidifier for the room.
