Sulphur deficiency?

Honestly, I have trouble distinguishing between some of the pics on the "what's wrong with my plant guide, so I'm relying on the patience and expertise of the users :)

I was just given a plant in a tiny pot, and it's quite undersized. I replanted it into a larger pot with a mix of compost, perlite, and vermiculite. It's been a week and already making new leaves.

I mixed up some plant food and molasses in bottled water (spring water, not distilled) and gave that to the plant. Instant growth.

But the lower leaves have taken on a yellow tinge, there is some yellow speckling on upper leaves, and the stem has a purplish cast.

I'm thinking sulfur deficiency by the pics and descriptions.

Pardon the poor picture quality. I only have a cell phone cam at the moment.
