Okay so this is the 1st plant ive ever grown of any kind. I honestly had no idea what i was doing in the beginning. Ffof soil with fox farm nutrient line up. 300W LED. Shes 7 weeks and 3 days today from sprout. I just took off a good bit of shade leaves and a few clones plus i just gave her a good feeding so im thinking i need to give it 5 or so more days before the flip bc i know shes stressed atm. I will flush real good also. Basically id just like some input on it. Its bagseed so idk the strain but its obviously indica dominant. Im also adding another 300W for flower so itll be 600w all together. I know yield estimate is a hard thing to determine but assuming she stays healthy and fed till harvest what can i realistically expect? Also has anyone used the evaflo dehuey the cheap ones. Im in a very small closet and im concerned about humidity but i dont wanna get something thats useless. Any input would be appreciated bc im kinda just wingin it right now lol. Also i topped a few of the taller colas to let the shorter ones catch up i hope i did right by that.

@JimmyTheNewb Treat her like she's going to give you 6lbs, she'll put out more than if you go into it expecting a gram.

If you have one plant in a closet, forget the dehu, add a fan for circulation and crack your closet. This will keep your Humidity "about right" and also allow for CO2/O2 exchange.

Odin ive actually been doing just that. I have a super nice dehuey but ive learned if i just crack my door a little it stays about perfect. Sounds like you know what youre talking about. Thanks for the advice

Hope you did not flush yet, that may do more harm than good.

You can flip it anytime. Its plenty healthy. I wouldn't flush it either. You want any extra nutes that are in soil for the stretch. Keep the same nutes you used for veg for at least 2 weeks prob. longer. Don't use high k nutes in flower its not necessary best tip you will get for your first grow.

Yea i had already flushed by the time i read this. Shes on day 2 of flip. Ill be feeding her again tomorrow so i hope it didnt do to much damage. Ty for the feeding tip i will keep it at the same amount as the last week of veg for the first 2 weeks of flower. Tbh my main concern is this damn humidity. It gets really high over night for some reason. I keep my closet door open and it stays 72 degrees and plenty of air circulation but in the middle of the night it jumps to 80% and i cant have that when it starts growing bud. I have a nice 50 pint dehuey but its to much really. It puts out so much hot air that i cant really run it. I ordered a small eva dry dehuey for closets today and im hoping thatll do the trick. I guess for now ill set an alarm to wake me up about 3am and turn on the big one for 30 mins. Its all i know to do. Thanks for the tips yall this being my first flowering experience im nervous and ive tried to prepare the best i can. This is her the first day of light flip shes 14 inches tall so i hope ill get a good yield hell ill be happy just to harvest anything properly lol. I also got another 300w led so its 600w total and 100w bulb which will be replaced with a red flowering led bulb

Your humidity raise at night is likely due to cooler temps than day and the fact we us "relative humidity" not "absolute humidity" as our way of measuring humidity.

Relative humidity is the percentage of moisture compaired to full saturation level. As temps rise air can hold more moisture. So in a sealed in box with a hygrometer you could swing RH from almost nothing to 100% with changing its temp, same amount of moisture sealed in there, the absolute humidity wont change w temp but relative sure does.,

Its confusing till the light bulb goes off, it took a few peple explaining this to me before i got it...

Btw when i stress em like with a haircut if they need water i give it to em as a straight water or weak nute solution, not a flush just a plain watering, i find it helps them bounce back faster...that cut em all up and then blast em w nutes...

Maybe we can talk about watering. How much water you use when you water? How often you water? Do you have a cheap moisture probe?
I had a humidity problem for a few grows during lights out. It only happened when I over watered. When I over watered my lights off humidity reached 80%+. When I watered correctly it never went above 60%.

watering since its only one plant, figure out how much pot weighs when dry. By picking pot up it will give you a good idea when dry, also sink your pinky in soil 2 inches that will also help to tell. that way you know when to water. its important not to over water. I honestly don't worry much about humidity till about 15 days. your smaller dehumid. will be here by then.

Im in a 5 gallon and now i water about every 3 days. Being new i did a ton of research before starting this and ive purposely under watered just to be sure i didnt over water. I let her dry out pretty good. I use a gallon of rain water every time. Yes i got a cheap 3 way probe for moisture and a ph probe for ph. I did some reading last night and yes ive realized now thats lights off raises humidity. Im in eastern usa and its been real humid lately. Last night i managed to keep it at 50 - 55% all night fairly easy with my big dehuey. It was pretty cool all night so the geat off that didnt hurt much. I do notice however that on watering days it is more humid and im sure thats why. I wont let this humidity stop me i know that much even if i have to get up every night. One thing ive considered doing is switching my light cycle to night time and dark period during the day. Another concern im having is where im having to keep my closet door cracked at night lets a faint trace of light into the oppisite side of the closet. No light is touching my plant and its a very very small trace about 6 ft away from her. Will tht stress her into herming? Ive read people say any light at all even the smallest trace will and ive read as long as its not hitting the plant itll be okay. Anyone ever deal with this?

I would keep it has dark as you can jimmy. yes any light can cause them to hermie. It all comes down to genectics. During veg a certain amount of stress, but during flower don't. They can hermie any time week one all the way through end. So just be careful.

Okay thanks a lot. Ive racked my brain trying to figure out solution to the light issue but theres really not much i can do until this grow is over. Ill just have to see what happens. Its for personal use so its not the end of life as i know it if it does end up herming. Ty so much for all the help

Do you try to always water at lights on or near lights on? That may help.
I posted this to someone else a couple of days ago. You may want to try it and let us know the results.

The reading I would like on the moisture meter is on the day you plan to water again. On that day I would like you to insert the probe all the way into the soil and read as far down as you can. Stay away from the trunk area. 2 or 3" from the rim of the pot should be fine. (it won't hurt the plant). The needle will spike. Get that reading. Then let it sit for 2 minutes and take another reading. Do that in a few places the day you plan to water and then get back to us with the results.
