to my mind these seedling threads, "how is my girl(hopefully) looking" and rest of new grower questions shouldnt be here..

i mean it would be good idea to make rules that without at least 150 comments it wouldnt be possible to make comments or at least open new threads in "general marijuana growing" section.

at start we all didnt know anything about growing. it all takes practise, reading, asking questions for first grow, its all ok. but i wanted to ask - why is there such "newbie central" if half of newbie questions is asked here? :wall:

i want to find general marijana growing interesting and reading general marijana growing questions and threats not "whats the difference between fertilizers" or "what fertilizers should i use?" :dunce:

at start i did ask my first questions at newbie central. i dont understand why some beginners asks theyre questions here?

what do others think? :leaf:

they might not know,
or they dont get the advice they want in newbie central..
people tend to just read and leave and not even post when fast reply is right at the bottom of the page.

Some do get annoying because its the same thread everyday just a diff screename.
Even if you make a tread adressin the same ? by making your own thread... over and over again it still gets posted again the nexy day.
newbs want they own thread n dont want to look 10 threads down to find the answer.
now that gets annoying

I agree there are many threads started with the same questions. I wish peeps would read through some and check out the growfaqs before posting too. We are trying to slim it down some. Just be patient with it for now.:peace:

thats how I get all my post, because pple don't even want to respond because it's a "stupid ?" in their opinion.

I answer any post I that I know the Answer to.
I hate how pple just look and say fuck it and have to make newbs bump their threads up because you couldn't take 10seconds to say this and that.
Y not just fast reply tho nemad help the newbs

the ?'s are annoying but need to be answered. rather help them from fucking up if I can;)
they do need to put some effort into finding the answer tho for sure.

But most of the time the question can be answered by reading a couple of threads instead of creating a new one.

I know i said that in the first post.
if they did just go 10threads down the answer would be there i bet.
I think they just want their own thread

Different strokes, different folks. I have been here for two years, only started 8 threads and 5 of them are DIY posts. Many folks are more social then I am, they 'need' to do some talking, let em'. You said you did it, now you want it changed to 150 posts before you can start a thread? One of the most asked questions is How do I start a Thread, and you want to penalize the ones that already know how? It would be an awful dull world if we all had exactly the same kind of personality. VV

150 is asking too much.
Just push them to read and use the searchbar.
i really dont even give a fuck that much tho.
10seconds of typing and gone like the wind to the next thread.

Agreed. The information on basic grow methods is here. The posters who consistently ask the same basic questions simply want their questions answered yet have no interest in actually looking for the answer themselves.
But most of the time the question can be answered by reading a couple of threads instead of creating a new one.
Another danger of having a constant barrage of already been answered threads: Weed Barons.

I read plenty of incredibly stupid advice given to new growers by shithouse growers.

yes i did. but i did it in newbie central. i knew that i will bother more expierenced growers in general marijuana growing section with starter questions.

ok, maybe 150 is too much, but that doesnt change the point :)

it doesnt change it at all..
I'll still answer the stupid ?'s but will tell them to read next time(up top left hand corner "like a teacher").

RIU has all this shit
GrowFAQ
Search and Countless threads

They just want a fast answer and a new thread its not even faster if they looked themselves.

I think i know what the boiling point was for you tho..
it was that is this a female thread? with that immature plant.

Agreed 100%! I'd rather see 100 already asked questions posted then more "rules" about what and where you can and can't post.

My goodness people... if you don't want to read a thread then just don't click on it. Is it really that much trouble to scroll??

thats exactly what pple do tho.

Hence newbs bump their thread because pple read and just leave.
idc if they ask it,
but its nice if they already got some knowledge of growing. then so much explaining isnt needed and can get right to the point
I'm at every thread trying to help out anyone who asked a ? stupid or not.

But thats just my .2

There is only one stupid question. If you never ask you for sure will not get an answer. Most of the time if people are starting threads its because they are not familiar with the site yet and they are looking for a friend, so be there friend, answer the question and keep reminding yourself the only dumb question is the one they didn't ask. Currently we are working on a list of subforums for each main forum. If you guys have any input that would be great, also I will be adding permissions for the entire scale.
