I don't know if it's been cleared up yet since this post is old but, I use tbsp of unsulfered molasses per gallon and I've been spraying my leaves 3,4 times a week with sugar water . It kills red spider mites overnight and as long as I spray often I never see another mite again. Also noticed after spraying if I dump some in the soil it makes buds denser. Marijuana plant can't absorb sugar it creates sugar but the soil can absorb the sugar and do great stuff for your plants yeild. Haven't tried any other type of sugar simply cause molasses works amazing I don't need to try anything else
