this is the first time i have done any hydro and first time ive ever cloned. things seem to be going good. if anyone wants to know i built this cloner with a sterlite (i think) plastic bin with handles that latch the lid down. it was see through blue so i taped it up. cut holes in top and using garden knee pad (thank you to whoever suggested that on here, they work great) that i cut in circles to hold the clones. i have a 60 whisper airpump with 2 14 inch airstones from petco(they were same price so i got the big ones. they barely fit into my cloner) these airstones are the biggest pieces of shit i have ever seen im glad i got 2 because 1 of them was half clogged to begin with and i didnt feel like going back to the store. they are working but next time im going to try just cutting some holes into the tube and not using airstones. i put the cuttings in on 4/26 so in the picture those roots are 1 week 5 days old. i cut them with razor dipped in a little roottech cloning gel which seems to help a little but not a whole lot. the plants on the right are males that i just used to practice cloning. i didnt put gel on the males and they still rooted just after the females. actually 1 of the females with gel has not rooted fully yet but i can see its about to. i have 1 cfl on 24 hours above the plants about 1- 1.5 feet away from plants. i didnt put a clear plastic cover on like some people here do. im planning on putting these in hempy buckets to try that out.

can i put these in the buckets yet or let the roots get bigger?
the roots in the first roots picture are the females. the roots in the second one are the males (which i will be throwing away, they were just practice) except the one on the left which is the female that has not rooted yet.

Well done my friend, they look great, you did your research. I don't move mine directly to the bucket, I poke a hole is a solo cup with a pen about 3/4 inch up from the bottom. The hole will let the water drain but, the mix won't get out. In a week or two cut the bottom off the cup and bury it in the bucket with 1-2 inches of the cup showing. Works well for me, your results may vary. Good luck!

For a rooting solution try here. Great product, great prices. You mix it to what ever strength you desire.

http://www.super-grow.biz/RootTonic.jsp many many supplements available here for much less than from AN, GH etc.
It dont look like he needs any rooting solution, great job for your first cuts, Ive taken thousands of clones and ever now and then I still have a batch that dont root good.Good work!!.peace

Edit..those are ready to transplant anytime

thanks everybody.
Im glad the clone thing worked out its frustrating to wait for your plants to grow and not know how many are female.
It was fun to build the cloner too. im going to do these hempy buckets this grow and i want to do a full dwc grow and an aero grow as well just to build and use them.
I just grow for personal use and fun so i want to try all the hydro methods out.
