seeing as how you are taking strain questions though.
opinions on sensi big bud..sensi hash plant. have some space bomb that will be going on soon.i have some seeds i made ak white russian..and ak male dna kushberry female.
the DNA kushberry is a fantastic plant..very smelly tasty and powerfull.but the description they give is nothing like the plant grows. they say it is a short kush type plant..its not..i had two phenos both of them tall and lanky will get out of hand fast from veg to bloom maybe let it get six inchs tall and will finish at 2 ft..and thats with alot of pinching and training .
the white russian is a great little plant. it could be more productive though.
the sensi hash plant had a bad germ rate. only 40% . the sensi big bud femanized 100% germ rate.the hash plant was a huge disappointment . as they were rather expensive.
they are at about 3/4 weeks old i am using dutch masters reverse on them to get as many females as i can. what is your opinion? thanks in advance.

I am just not a fan of Dutch gear bro I have spent 10's of thousands of dollars giving em a chance. I ran Sensi's Hash plant to see how close it was to cuddlefish and I could have been growing maters or spring peas it was so poor. There running of an old rep thats quickly being exposed. And yes there also over price.
You want something that wil really perfrom just Give Vortex and JTR a shot :)

There are also many other great breeders with amazing gear but none of em original in Holland.

kk no worrys feller. iv already got the church ( fems) so ill do that as it is my first grow and learn lots. what is the male/ fem ratio on your vortex seeds coz iv got an idea with another stain that i think would be a dank mix lol its all a learning curve and i cnt wait to start exploring. thanks again for your time bro

The ratio of male to females in Cannabis is 50/50 if enough seeds are started that is always the natural math of things.

With knowledge that number can be increased greatly

if you will germinate your seeds between 70-80 degrees you will have a better ratio of females. Warmer temperatures tend to produce more male plants.

I started a nice photo thread and it got clogged up with irrelevant post before I could get 3 strains up so I deleted it.

have you heard or have any experience with dutch masters reverse to help create more females from seedlings? does it help ? or is it snake oil ?

thank you for your opinion.
a question on seed strains..i know alot of breeders use cross's with skunk 1 and super skunk..jack herer and other cross's many of them through the sensi lines?
i assume this is done to add characteristics that they want to their plants and make them stable .
it would have to take alot of male plants to make a decent breeding program i would think( i dont know for sure) . how would you choose a male for breeding..and then keep all the males that would be required?
ive noticed through smoking different types of weed that the west coast of the USA seems to produce the best tasting most potent marijuana i have smoked.
many of the new genetics are infused with old school genetics though.
one of my first grows i purchased ALOT of nirvana seeds and grew them out. most were average at best..but the guy i shared the seeds with got one pheno that would set your hair on fire..and the dumb shit wasnt smart enough to mark and keep track of his plants so we lost that plant.
im really weird about marking and keeping track of shit like that.it drives me crazy people being incompetent and just plain ass stupid.
do you think that one plant was just a fluke super mother that ended up being super potent? it looks like it because NONE of the rest of the plants were as potent as this one.
if you breed two plants together of known genetics..even though the plants them self..mother and father are of average genetics . will it throw back something special if enough beans are popped and grown out>?
i went and looked at your void strain ..it looks off the HOOK in the photo brother..so does the jack the ripper..the jack the ripper has some jack herer in its lines doesnt it>?
thanks for your time in advance.

Hey subcool, been reading your stuff for a minute now.. So I have used roots and the harvest moon (We call that one the white bag, both no label and more perlite that makes outdoor gardens a bit too white...).

So my question is how are you getting along with harvest moon stuff? I've never mixed more stuff into soil other than good fungus microrhyzal stuff. Be interested in hearing how your digging harvest moon and what you added (and if your feeling giddy a possible feed schedule=)

Thanks again for passing along this knowledge, many blessings

We did noty like the Harvest moon in the end it did not perform nearly as good and the fact they wash there coco on a big slab out behind the shop with sprinklers made me question there product

Stick with roots

What's would you guess is causing my plants to die sub? I havent given them anything other than a half serving of Liquid kharma and sweet every other watering so I dont think it's overfeeding

thanks man
This is probably too late but I just wanted to chime in and say that I've seen the exact same symptoms on some of my girls about 4 weeks into flowering. I've also got an overall light-green color on my white widow. I should point out though that due to a major family issue I had to turn them over to a friend for a couple weeks, and wasn't around to trim them back. Because of that I went into flowering way too big and had to top-dress early, and by week 2 I just gave up and started adding some Roots' nutes. However the dominant source of nutes is still the SC mix. Take this all with a grain of salt though.

My current belief is that it's a K shortage, which isn't quickly fixed. I'd be interested to know the K content of the SC mix, because it seems really low compared to P. I think Sub gets around this by using Kelp/Seaweed extract(I seem to remember reading that, flame on if I'm wrong). So IMHO, I think you either need to look at using Kelp or adding some Sul-Po-Mag(awesome stuff) to your next mix.

Another issue I'm fighting is pH - the Roots soil I got kept running off around 8 with 7pH H2O. I've been adding pH Down to my water since week 3 of veg, bringing the water down to 4 before adding supplements, but my pH runoff is still too high(very high, in fact - I think normal organic material should run off 5.5-6.5 and I'm now at 7ish).

My other issue is PM. Word of mouth has it that some reckless clone dealers spread PM through California, and that everyone's got it. Low K can make PM worse and sure enough I can't kill it. I've tried NEEM, sulfur burning, serenade(worthless), milk sprays, and green cure(potassium bicarbonate). It just keeps coming back. No more clones for me - I'm sticking with seeds. I've grown for years from seed and never had PM - ever.

thanks for the reply bro, i appreciate it. Luckily i dont think thats the case though: It happened to my PK's and the G13 that I had going, but the Headbands which flowered out at the same time (but had 30 more days for the soil to "cook") were perfect! Fucking dank, in fact :weed:

i have a new batch of girls going in the same soil mix, and theyre looking better then the old PKs already. I never ever checked the ph on the first round of PKs nor have I with the second round. Everythings looking great though. I have ditched the LK and Sweet for now. If these plants have the same problems, I will start to look at the soil. But i dont think they will. I definitely agree with sub about letting the mix age longer. Im going to wait at least two months for the next batch rather than 26 days as I did this time, lol.

Ive got the PM too, not bad though, also a socal grower. I think ive got it in remission though, we'll see how that turns out..

now that ive actually grown, harvested and am sitting here blazed as hell off of my 100% organic buds, I will say it from the heart: Thanks Sub!!!!!

MrFancyPants when I went to the hydro place the guy got me everything right off my list and said it had everything a good mix should have but he was surprised that there wasn't any kelp in it as well like you suggested. Do you know where in the thread Sub said he's used kelp before?

I dont, seriously the recipe must be posted up here like 5 times now.

Yeah I swore I read somewhere that you added it to your watering schedule along with the sucanat.. but then I couldn't find the link. Sorry for blowing smoke :)

You do add the sucanat though, right? That'll help a bit with the K.
