Subcool Deep Purple Grow From Seed

Ordered 10 Deep Purple seeds from Breedbay. Germed 5 of them and got all 5 to germ. Planted them in Roots 707 soil with perlite. Put them under 2x4 Sunlite T5's.

Got all 5 to sprout but unfortunately, one blackened and shriveled up immediately while one fell over and did the same after a bit. One currently has a deformed leaf but looks like it should rebound and one is about to fall over with a weak stem.

All in all, not too happy so far with my results but maybe I just had bad luck. I am currently germing the other 5 since my first run didn't do too well.

2nd pack

4/5 germed and all 4 sprouted so I guess the first pack was just bad luck? 2 of the previous seedlings look great, one is still in question. Will add pictures tonight.

Deep purple is from Subcool and TGA seeds. It's Querkle male (Urkle x Space Queen (C99 x Romulan)) x Urkle female. So basically a Urkle backgross.

Sub's write up :This strain was created to lock down more of the Urkle dominant traits and bring out more of the musty grape taste that Urkle is famous for.
The strain produces a wide range of female plants and not all of them will exhibit colors at all. The ones that due however are highly sought after and several people consider there Purple Grape females among there best Indicas strains. Not a huge producer or a fast growing plant it makes up for it in taste and high quality.

Awesome, I just started flower on my first run of subcool gear. What they say about high female ratio is true. I have at least 7 out of 9 plants turned out female with one male and one still undetermined. I don't have Deep Purple but one of my strains is Qleaner which has some Querkle genes. I think it was probably bad luck with your sprouts dying. I didn't have any probs with mine. But anyways I'll be following and wish you the best of luck. -/\/\ared

Nice! Good luck with the Qleaner, a very interesting looking strain. I want to get his Jacks Cleaner II next, or JTR. What other sub strains are you running?

Good Luck Brobongsmilie
Thanks!

A week in :

Still have all 7 seedlings growing. Probably the slowest growing strain I've ever run out of seed. Also, thin stems so far. I've been trying to hit them with hard wind to get them bulked up. Will probably water tomorrow or so with water and maybe some fluvic acid.

2 pictures of the biggest one and then a group picture.

Looks like they're off and running! Sorry to hear about the bad luck with the first round... remember that too much air blowing on them wil dry them out faster...
