Strip choices?

Hi guys, need some advice if possible. Can’t get a reply from mark at cutter to save my life so I’ll ask here. I’m planning a build for a 3x3 flower space and have a couple options on strips. So my choice is between the 3k 90cri nichia 757 strips or Cree jseries 3030 3k 90cri strips both from cutter. My other option is the eb series slim gen3 in 80cri. Does the nichia strips really warrant the nearly double price they command or am I better of with the crees or bluxs. Also an option is a mix of 80 and 90cri in the jseries which will drop the price even lower and give me better lmw if I’m right? Thanks in advance. Appreciate it !

EB gen3s is what I'd do for sure. Those or the $10 cutters.

These? https://www.cutter.com.au/product/ssk-1560zge-3090cr/ . How many would you use to cover a 3x3? And how hard would you run them ? I was thinking 10 strips (8in a row and 1 down each side) wired up to 2 drivers (5 in series) or 20 of the eb series (same price more or less) .

From what I understand the 90cri will be better for flower with the higher red output but at 48v any more than 10 strips and I would have to wirer them differently.

Wow fuck that never mind. They were $10.67 like 4 days ago. EB gen 3s for the win.

And make sure you space your strips closer together slightly towards the ends.

The 90cri not worth the extra £££ then lol ? More than double the voltage aswell to run the crees.

Will do . Going to try work out what driver to use next . 20 of the bluxs ran at 1000ma will give close to 400w right? Will have a look on meanwells website to try and match the voltage and whatnot .

Ya but for a 3x3 you need 300watts. 350 Max.
If you don't care about dimming and really want 400watts, I'd suggest 2 LRS models but they only cow in 36, then 48 models and that 40V the EBs have is just right out of both their ranges.

The ebs have 19.1v according to digikey? https://www.digikey.co.uk/product-detail/en/BXEB-L0590U-30E1500-C-C3/976-BXEB-L0590U-30E1500-C-C3-ND/10279842/?itemSeq=327948863 I am planning on adding a dimmer . I have a timber 4vs in another 3x3 which is 400w with a dimmer . Just gives that extra headroom if I want it I suppose . The f series I linked seems to be quite popular. What do you think?

Or could I add a strip to each series and use a HLG-240H-C1050 11strips in a series puts it a 210v ?

Can’t find them anywhere mate in 3k or 27

theres a few builds happening with the gen 3's loads of info around. on the other forum you posted on just below your post there is a few gen 3 builds in progress.

Seen them but when I search the part number everywhere is out of stock . Would prefer to go 90cri 100%

I love my eb gen 2. I see they have 3s now. Wow. Already own outdated tech. You can go wrong with the eb.

just order them from future, it seems like they get them in pretty quick?, or are you in a rush?.

No real rush .. just excited to get the ball rolling really mate.
