Stretch stops, right?

So the stretching, both vertical and horizontally actually stops and then the buds just get fat and such, right?
Just half wondering /panicking as I am running out of room in the grow room. I am 3 days in to week 3 after flip and my plants are crowded. I should have probably flipped sooner but it's my first time so I'm still learning (mostly by experience).IMG_20150923_192739.jpg

Yes it does. It's a good idea to flip them when they are about 1/2 to 3/4 of the size you want them to be. There is a substance called chlormequat chloride you could use to stop or reduce stretching, but it could be cancer causing. I used to use it but have stopped. :fire:

I've got a really heavy roll of uninsulated copper wire an electrician left here after a job years ago.
If I've got some unruly tops I'll just bend a piece into a hook & hang it on the offending top to allow the shorter ones to "catch up". Usually only leave them on for 2-3 days or so.
Rinse, repeat.

Your plants should be just about done growing up or out. With typical veg times, 5-8 weeks, many varieties will continue to add height until the third week at 12/12. The clue is the white pistils. They also make their appearance 2-3+ weeks after the plant goes to 12/12. There is a change point in week 3 where the plant is re-routing energy from construction to growing the sex parts, the buds. Virtually no height is added once the change-over kicks into high gear. From then on the frustrated female is going all in to build buds. Nature is neat, eh?

Good luck, they are done growing, BigSteve.

Like everyone else said they are prob about done now. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't streach anymore at all being that far in. What strain is it they look nice and uniform. I would say you got it about perfect looks like you will get a nice yeild out of the room, maximize space!

They are AK-47 feminized and there are 4 of them, the one in the back corner is on a 3.5 inch riser I had to make cuz she is slow.

Lst them out a bit. Keeps the tops low and opens it up for better light penetration.
Did you ever get your other lower leaves issue figured out?

I am going to try and hang some weights on the tallest branches but they are very stiff so I'll have to be careful.

Regarding the droopy stems the concensus was that I may be watering too heavily and to dial it back a bit. Letting them dry out a bit today and going to reduce amount per watering and see what happens.

I wouldn't use weights, may over weigh and snap some stems.
Just get a wire or a string and tie it down, go gentle because there is a bit of resistance before the stem snaps. You should be able to bend by hand to feel it then tie it where it needs to be.

I really wouldn't use weights if I were you.

Im not saying this applies here, but since nobody mentioned i figured i would..
Heavy sativas, landraces and what not may continue growing at the same pace through flowering.
