So i just transfered my babies from 1 gal to 4gal pots. i also put them into veg and added all new oceans forest, until a 600w hps. i veg them under cfl for about 5-6 weeks so this is going to be stressful, i imagine. what do you think if i leave the light on for the 18/6 for a week to maybe slow down stress.

any ideas or techs you have done would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks for your time

The first induced stress you did was transplanting. Next to cloning transplanting would be second in line for the stress category. Using vitamin B1 helps with transplanting stress. Photoperiod change also falls under the category of stress as well. Get your plants aclimated to the new environment you are giving them. For instance when transferring plants from vegetative to flower stage, I do the following I allow my plants to be in complete darkness for three days prior to bombardment with HPS. When I transfer clones or seedlings from the cloning/seedling area to my vegetative area, I move them to the periphery for several days prior to directly under the MH fixture. I hope this helps and good luck.

lol...just leave the light on...it is gonna be fine...the plant wants light so give it some...it will love the hps after the baby lights. the only time I wait to put a plant under my 600hps is during cloning....after they go in soil I give em two days before I throw em under there...that's the only time. So I say turn them lights on:mrgreen:

so i had mixed signals regarding the lights on or off. so i left them off last night. but im going to turn them on tonite. gave them one day off with light, but i agreee with the point that they should enjoy the hps. id like to hear from someone else regarding if i should leave them in the dark for another day or light them up

what type of bulb are you using for cloning? and when you say you wait 2 days.. do you leave them in the dark for the 2 days???

Thanks

I am using four 40 watt fluoro tubes for cloning.....after they go in soil I leave em under the fluoros for two days before giving them more light.
