Strains with the longest-lasting high ?

After 2 decades of smoking a lot of different bud and building a mountain of tolerance, I’ve noticed that some strains last a lot longer than others, and I am on a quest to hunt them down. At the end of the day, it’s great if weed tastes nice and smells nice, but I don’t wanna pack a bong every 30 minutes. Smoking isn’t the activity I wanna spend all my time on. I wanna be high, and THEN go do my fun stuff! So, rollitup community - which strains have the staying power to knock your dick into the dirt and keep it there, or detach your head from its body and let it soar among the clouds for a few hours? Let’s get a good list of strains that get you to your happy place and KEEP you there for the ride !

Last strain I had like this was Snowhigh’s “Blueberry Blast” - which was Blue Dream x Johnny Blaze. Johnny Blaze is (Neville’s Haze x Blueberry). I’d hit the bong before work, drive an hour, 2 and then still found myself geeking out, cooking on the sauté line 2 hours later. Phenomenal sativa happy-giddy high and a nice floating body buzz. Top 3 strains I’ve ever grown, would kill to have it again. I last had it in 2013.

I was gonna say a good nevils haze or a5 haze cross like say killera5 or something like that good ones of them cut through tolerance well as for the other end of the spectrum a nice chem cross fits the bill nicely like say a good dawg cross or even c4dd a nice real kush is good too

never grown or smoked any of the chems, and they seem to have a very loyal fanbase. my curiosity is peaked.

i have had good luck (so far) with purple punch, zkittles and blue dream. always find myself reaching for those jars when i want to get a good buzz on (and enjoy the flavors too). i suspect there will be more added to the list after outdoors is completely harvested. expecting great things from bubba kush and candyland.

I’m confused. Giddy high, floaty for hours, I understand.
Then you say dick in the dirt, detached head for hours.
Which is something totally different because of the opposite direction taken by the 2 different types of highs.
The combination type that you seek isn’t impossible, however it is very rare.
Very rare, the existence in an upper and downer state simultaneously.
A strain such as that would take considerable work. Which is something that isn’t seen in modern strains.
As as far as long lasting, Blueberry has one of the longest lasting high that I have seen in any strain that’s easily obtainable. However it’s not dick knocking for some.
I also find the buzz quite annoying at time, because of the slightly buzzed, not buzzed effects that will linger for hours. It left me not knowing if I was ready to relight. This was what I would consider the sativa dominant phenos.
I found the indica dominant phenos to be a snooze fest at best, even though I’m a huge fan of blueberry. With some work, it will make a great base strains as some above have mentioned. Especially for those seeking that elusive, long lasting high.

You missed the word OR in there, budski. There are strains on both ends of the spectrum that can last a long time. Sometimes it’s nice to smoke early in the day and float through a few hours of yardwork, or smoke and melt into the couch to watch a movie and then pass out at the end of the night. I’m looking for strains that last a while, no matter what their effects are.

Not so much a strain, but a consumption method.. I switched to making RSO instead of continuously smoking all day.. A couple drops in my morning coffee lasts till my afternoon cup, then a couple more and I'm set till after dinner.. a couple more and I'm good till bed time.. Usually lasts 5-6 hours, so I'm high all day.. Took about a month to get used to not smoking but it can be done..

I am with you missin the 90s, I grow it and smoke it to get high. I keep saying it over and over but the main interest today seems to be what terps does it have not what kind of high does it have. Gotten where only plants i am working with and hunting through are chem/kush crosses, some of them have tons of terps some not as much, but the high is what determines if i keep it around.

i would say any of those 30% strains will get you fucked up for hours its all about quantity. or go to edibles if you liver can convert it good you can have easy 8h high,add mangos

The chems are a hell of alot more potent ime than all those you mentioned i aint going by thc im going by effects and longevity bubba kush is a nice one too but the rest you mentioned tho nice i dont find very potent vs a killer haze cross or a heavy afghan kush or a nice chem line if you end up running a chem/hybrid im sure you will like it if you like being stoned tho there hybrid they mostly have this effect minus sour or chem#1 there more of a high

like i said, i am curious. a lot of people like the chems and skunks. i smoked skunk way back in the day (1989 ) and liked it, but have never grown or tried many strains that are popular today, many of those that you listed. (i've been away from weed for 20+ yrs) i've never smoked bubba kush, but will be harvesting my first in a few more days. pretty excited.

the ones i listed are the ones i have grown out/smoked and liked enough to want to keep going back to.

Yeah i like skunks too as for bubba it looks ready at 8ish weeks leave it till ten and its alot more potent its not a huge yielder its tasty and has a nice effect tho so its worth it

I'm still mad I never got some Johnny Blaze seeds when they were around. Cuban Black Haze hybrid has been treating me right lately. The flavors smoked or vaped is like someone lit an incense, the high is energetic but too much can be racy. Never had Piff back in the day but this stuff is nice smoke!

I would suggest a tolerance break for at least 2-3 weeks if you can. I like to smoke CBD buds so I dont get the withdraw symptom's like lack of sleep or appetite. Come back to THC 3 weeks later & smoke twice a day. The high last long enough that I only need those 2-3 tokes a day. Even more so if I skip the wake n bake, I prefer tea instead in the morning.

I just looked around for giggles, and Hempdepot.ca still has a few Johnny blaze crosses. They are all in the top 1/3 of the lists, before you get to the autos.
