Strain suggestions that are definitely NOT GRAPE

Sup,

I have been growing for the past 3 years and been buying seeds from different sources. Somehow, almost every plant I have grown leans to a Grape smell. Sometimes its definitely grape and sometimes it's there but could be berries or other sweet "purple" smell.

So, I'm tired of this.

Can you please give me advice on seeds that grow into plants that have STRONG SMELL AND TASTE that's NOT GRAPE?

Attitude is my go-to website cause their shipping is the cheapest and they are pretty good at stealth packaging. Where I live, Cannabis is ilegal.
What are your bloom temps like are things purpling out more so than they should ? Sounds to me at a guess like your plants are high in anthocyanins due to lower bloom temps if its stuff that shouldnt taste grape/purple lots but it does that be my bet

As for strains that definitely aint grape there is so many a good hindu kush any chem strain a good haze cross like nevils haze if your brave with bloom times aint a biggie if they are a good amnesia that tends to be lemon hazy type stuff cali orange and its hybrids definitely no grape there only thing i will say is ime the orange strains arent in the super potent class like there good just dont expect knock down potency with that family

That's a good guess. I experience low than ideal temperatures (~50F) inside my tent during winter and saw a clone that I had grown during summer really changed its appearance and smell/taste at that time.

Again, I'm not saying that I bought a Lemon Haze that tasted like Gelatto. I just think that I had too much of the same, sometimes without really wanting it.

what genetics have you been growing?
In House Genetics Twisted Helix, Slurricane
Solfire Gardens Mind Flayer
Mephisto Autos
Some local hybrids
A bunch of freebies

Aye a had a pal kinda have something similiar happen i put down to a combo of slight deficiencies and too cold in bloom even the super skunk big bud cross he grew had this kinda purple tasting hint and colour when anyone else grew it it tasted way differently and mostly stayed green right enough idk what nutes he was using just remember that temps below 15c will lock certain nutrients out as well this is one of the reasons autumn looks like autumn or fall if your north american

the reason I ask what nutes you use and what strains you've grown is basically the same as what @conor c is getting at..

if you are finding all strains regardless genetics are tasking similar or the same it can be related to feed or environmental.. the three strains you mention are not supposed to be grape leaners so it could be something else

mind flayer - sharp sour citrus candy with a punch of spicy fruity bubblegum as the nugs are burned away
slurrican - super sweet fruity berry flavor accented by spicy tropical fruits and earth upon exhale
twisted helix - apricot, nutty, berry and gas

= grapeish IMHO

You guys are right about temps, I usually finish my flower during winter and It's pretty hard to manage temps in my case, especially during the night.

Anthocyanins you said?

they are great
best customer experience I've ever had
best stealth
best shipping costs

If any seedsman pack crosses the Equator line, the cops will be already at the airport and knocking on my door.

Will check peyote somewhere else though.

I agree, its gotta be environmental or food related.

Get a wee electrical oil heater or something with no lights showing or that set it on a timer to click on in lights off for a bit that might help i know some guys who grow in sheds at home and here isnt always very warm especially in winter and thats how they pull it off

the problem is that my grow space is SO small, I cant fit a oil heater during flower and I don't trust the electric ones with fan.

I will just reorganize my grow cycles so I can avoid flowering during winter

I really enjoy my Golden Tiger - Ace Seeds but takes forever to grow, but spicy mandarine orange with hint of cinnamon. I also like the sour blueberry taste I got from my G13 Labs - Blue Cindy and happy to smell it again with my current outdoor grow of her. Oh and Seedsman - Lemonchello Haze for its cheesy lemon citrus taste.

I am reconsidering a eletric radiator with a fan, there are some interesting things from China that may work.

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001270398356.html?channel=twinner
to maybe install at my air intake

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004389767760.html?channel=twinner
to fix it inside the tent
Do those heating elements not get red hot if so u will need to put it on the intake and angle it so theres no light getting in or that could cause you problems
