strain for both indoor and out

So I've been browsing the seedbanks looking for feminized seeds. I figure, why waste time and money growing males. Anyways, my long term plan is to go outdoors next season. In the meantime however I'd like to grow a few crops indoors in addition to making sure I have enough clones ready when the time comes. When a strain says "outdoor" can they also be grown indoors just as easy? I don't want a strain that will be a poor performer outdoors, btw I live in the midwest so that can give you an idea of the climate. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
