Stopping light from comming in thru passive intake

My intake window is only 15" away from the grow room wall. Any suggestions on stopping light. Right now I have bends in my flex tubing that keep light from coming in, but it is killing my intake. I tried Photo dark room vents but they were not adequate.

Do you have the option to move the incoming air vent and go straight in? Meaning cover the current one, cut a new hole and go direct into the room from the window...

I've seen (never had a reason to use them) these rubber boots for vents, pliable rubber which can be easily cut/modified/moulded, in hardware stores usually in the vent/furnace aisles that you could put over the hole and get a nice tight fit. Not sure if that would help or the light leaks you're referring to are elsewhere.

The intake vent is the only light trouble.I am not sure what you mean about the boot?????What is it normally used for?

Yes I can but stopping the light coming in and going out is trouble
Just wrap the ducting with something black. I had the same issue. When the sun came around one side of the room the intake would "glow". Wrapped it and its been fine.

I'm not sure but I think its used in creating seals around pipes, likely where you want an air-tight seal, it's around 3" hole but could be expanded easily enough, it's like 1/4" thick black rubber. Always thought if I needed something sealed tight, I'd try it. Seen it at HD, Lowes.

all you need is 2 elbows, you can easily make a light trap out of a cardboard box and some duct tape. it won't restrict airflow

a sort of maze walkway keeps light out of my grow room. and windows have a similar design

Shroom filters are great but also expensive. Just buy the UNI filter sheets they come in 12x16x3/8. Get the 60 ppi fine foam it's the same stuff that horti control uses ( Uni makes the shroom filter for horti control). You will need to get the oiling kit that horti makes since its plant safe.

I used ge microwave filters which is just a metal cage with a really thin carbon fabric sheet. I cut the uni filter sheet a little bigger so I could sandwich it between the wall and microwave filter.

The added carbon fabric sheet with the uni foam make it light proof with very little restriction, and doesn't take up any space. Plus keeps the room dust and bug free.

Here's a pic hope it helps.IMG_1166.JPG
