I agree with you both except for the high rating...Lately I wonder if all the crazies that question his name and birth might be closer to the truth...after the events of the last month, I am convinced more than ever that there is NO difference between the former and the latter President...they are one in the same. The distractions have a different flavor, but the intended results are the SAME. I am beginning to think he is either a puppet or a traitor, but probably both. I am worried for our Country.:(

I think puppet. Bill Hicks had a great stand up bit about it:

"I think no matter what your campaign promises were, as soon as you get elected, they bring you into a dark smoky room filled with all the capitalist scumfucks who got you elected, and a big guy with a cigar says: "ROLL THE TAPE"

Then they show you footage of the Kennedy assassination............ From an angle that you've never seen before. Then they ask, "Any questions?"

Only one: What's my agenda?"

It's scary how correct Bill Hicks is about modern politics, especially because he has been dead for 26 years now.

I think George Bush was the crappiest President EVER! Nobody will EVER agree to everything Obama has to offer. But i think we all can agree that we approve of his intentions. The fact of the matter is the previous admin screwed us over so badly that it is near impossible for ANYONE to come into office and immediately change the outlook of this country. This is the worst state this country has ever been in (in our time). And to take on a task of that size shows incredible traits in a person. Obama is not stupid by a long shot. Im sure he was able to predict the criticism and failure involved with taking the tasks. But overall i feel as he was the best candidate at the time, and hes doing as much HE can. But after 8 years of bad finance management (Bush) and senseless wars that costs billions of dollars a week it was inevitable to see we were heading this route...(America is BROKE).......Legalizing marijuana nationwide could very well change this! Thanks for listening!
Much love to everybody!

^^^Yes...only bush did not promise to "change" and be "transparent". The politicians are currently trying to make a conversation like this be a reason to be suspicious...maybe even a crime. Look for more domestic false flags and 3rd Reich like night time party rallies. The "taxi driver" went in to safeway to get change my ass! Wake up RIU'ers! shit's gettin' serious!

Have you failed to realize that people who cannot engage in intellectual discussion resort to fear mongering?

Is it any wonder people like this aren't taken seriously?

Being at odds with policy leads all too often to fabricating lies in your country

Try basing your opinions on facts rather than populist rhetoric, you might actually get something done

Epic post! As you can see I am a fan of Hicks and I think he was right in so many ways about so many things. He is deeply missed. RIP

Regarding Obama: I voted for Obama. Can't even imagine what life in the States would be like had McCain and the Thrilla from Wasilla got into office. We were on the verge of a second great depression, an economic 9/11 and now at least we are starting to pull back out of it. Cant say I agree with everything he has done (can't say that about any politicians really) but I am thankful that half senile war monger didnt get elected.

However no matter what the rich puppet masters and the folks at Madison Avenue who know how to push the right buttons in well intentioned but ignorant people will continue this left/right hatred and divide. Thats how they rule, divide and conquer. Always have and likely always will. I'm just trying to take care of my family and friends and be the best human being I can.

for someone who accuses somebody else of lying, you really are full of lies.

1st) the health care repeal passed by majority in the house on party lines. this wasn't a huge bi-partisan majority, like you're trying to portray it. it was republicans trying to mend their biggest defeat of last year. they are also NOT replacing anything. the repeal law only undoes a lot of the benefits consumer have begun to enjoy without providing any sort of viable alternative. ps. republicans had to go this route b/c if they voted on each single part of the health care law, they're popularity would plummet b/c MOST PROVISIONS OF THE HEALTH CARE LAW THEY'RE TRYING TO REPEAL ARE EXTREMELY POPULAR WITH AMERICANS, BOTH REPUBLICAN AND DEMOCRAT. so they can't debate them independently b/c that's bad politics, they just voted for outright repeal, and guess what?? nothing's gonna happen b/c the senate will block the legislation, and if for some miracle of nature it passes the senate obama has already stated he will use his veto power to drive that bullshit into the trash where it belongs.

that's two lies, so far.

your third wad of bullshit was implying that obama tried to pass cap and trade, he suggested it, when the government saw that it was not what ppl wanted, they backed off....

your fourth lie: REPUBLICAN ATTORNEY'S GENERAL ARE FILING SUIT AGAINST PART OF THE HEALTH CARE LAW, THE INDIVIDUAL MANDATE, NOT THE WHOLE LAW. IF YOU KNEW WHAT YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT, YOU'D KNOW THIS.

whether you like it or not, biodiesel, ethanol, and other alternative fuel sources CAN BE CHEAPER, IT'S JUST THE OIL LOBBY HAS USED IT'S INFLUENCE TO KEEP THE SUPPLY CONTROLLED, SO IT MAKES IT SEEM LIKE ALTERNATIVE ENERGY SOURCES ARE JUST OUT OF RANGE, IT'S A FALLACY YOU SPIT OUT LIKE THE R EST OF YOUR BULLSHIT.

WAKE UP AND SMELL THE BULLSHIT, IT'S IN YOUR MOUTH....

ethanol can be derived from sugar cane as well, ask brazil. they're making a killing selling their oil, and growing their fuel.

and it might be dirtier than gas, but it can be homegrown and processed. it's an alternative to bombing the shit out of the arab world, and if a serious ethanol industry started in the US, we could tell those Saudi Arabians who sell us all their oil and use that money to teach their people that americans are evil to kiss our white assess.

House GOP Lists $2.5 Trillion in Spending Cuts

By Paul Bedard
Posted: January 20, 2011

Print
Moving aggressively to make good on election promises to slash the federal budget, the House GOP today unveiled an eye-popping plan to eliminate $2.5 trillion in spending over the next 10 years. Gone would be Amtrak subsidies, fat checks to the Legal Services Corporation and National Endowment for the Arts, and some $900 million to run President Obama's healthcare reform program. [See a gallery of political caricatures.]

What's more, the "Spending Reduction Act of 2011" proposed by members of the conservative Republican Study Committee, chaired by Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, would reduce current spending for non-defense, non-homeland security and non-veterans programs to 2008 levels, eliminate federal control of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, cut the federal workforce by 15 percent through attrition, and cut some $80 billion by blocking implementation of Obamacare. [See a slide show of the top Congressional travel destinations.]
Some of the proposed reductions will surely draw Democratic attack, such as cutting the Ready to Learn TV Program, repeal of the Davis-Bacon Act, the elimination of the Energy Star Program, and cutting subsidies to the Woodrow Wilson Center. [See editorial cartoons about the GOP.]
Here is the overview provided by the Republican Study Committee:
FY 2011 CR Amendment: Replace the spending levels in the FY 2011 continuing resolution (CR) with non-defense, non-homeland security, non-veterans spending at FY 2008 levels. The legislation will further prohibit any FY 2011 funding from being used to carry out any provision of the Democrat government takeover of health care, or to defend the health care law against any lawsuit challenging any provision of the act. $80 billion savings.
Discretionary Spending Limit, FY 2012-2021: Eliminate automatic increases for inflation from CBO baseline projections for future discretionary appropriations. Further, impose discretionary spending limits through 2021 at 2006 levels on the non-defense portion of the discretionary budget. $2.29 trillion savings over ten years.
Federal Workforce Reforms: Eliminate automatic pay increases for civilian federal workers for five years. Additionally, cut the civilian workforce by a total of 15 percent through attrition. Allow the hiring of only one new worker for every two workers who leave federal employment until the reduction target has been met. (Savings included in above discretionary savings figure).
"Stimulus" Repeal: Eliminate all remaining "stimulus" funding. $45 billion total savings.
Eliminate federal control of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. $30 billion total savings.
Repeal the Medicaid FMAP increase in the "State Bailout" (Senate amendments to S. 1586). $16.1 billion total savings.
More than 100 specific program eliminations and spending reductions listed below: $330 billion savings over ten years (included in above discretionary savings figure).
Here is the full list of cuts:

that puts an ear to ear smile on my face:D

you can delude yourself all you want.

fact is most provisions of the health care law are popular with most americans. you delude yourself into believing otherwise because you are being lied to every fucking day, and the thing is that you believe it. Republicans wanted to vote on the measure without debate. DEMOCRATS INITIATED THE REPEAL HEARINGS. DEMOCRATS INITIATED THE HEARINGS ON A REPUBLICAN BACKED LAW B/C REPUKES KNEW THAT DEBATE WOULD DESTROY THEM, AND IT DID. i loved watching repukes squirm...

all they did was repeat job-killing job killing job killing job killing job killing...... it was beautiful....

the health care overhaul isn't going anywhere, that puts a big smile on MY face..

repukes popularity is sinking every day, and guess what, obama is going for a second term and he's going to win, b/c the bullshit within the republican party makes itself more apparent each passing day.
