 i have this root on one of my favorite plants that has grown upwards for about 5 days now... i dont like touching the roots i think they are sensitive.. correct me if im wrong. the root is getting kind of a brownish color ... i look under the medieum and there is another root growing down into the water... any advise. is it safe to cut off the root growing above the medium. i should mention that i am using the aerogarden. someone help me out please i hear that the root can grow fungus and lead to death

Sounds a little odd for a root to grow up instead of down. From what I've read roots are supposed to head toward gravity. Are there any signs of leaves?

can u just re-cover the root?? when my tray empties, the roots are exposed all the time, (i flood every other hour for 15 minutes) -Hyro, so i dont think root exposure is detrimental...

you can trim the roots anytime you want, i trim when i see algae on the roots, it wont kill the plant.. but maybe someone here has better advice on "root control" did you check the FAQ?

good luck tho
