Sticky hands no more - how to get clean

So this seems like it should be common knowledge but everytime I mention it people light up like its the first time they have ever heard it so I figure it's worth a post.


Got sticky hands after a harvest (or just molesting you're buds)?
Take a dab of olive oil (any oil should do) rub it into you're hands and start washing (no soap needed), that stick will come off in 5 seconds flat and leave them hands clean and soft.


Not exactly advanced knowledge but it works better then any soap or cleaner you can buy.

I just pop some popcorn and eat it. Gets the sticky off and a little head change

Automotive hand cleaners like Goop work very well. Wearing gloves helps, too. FWIW, I prefer nitrile gloves from MidKnight. Best I've used.

Just wear rubber gloves and save the olive oil for cooking.

use rubber gloves that dont have that shit on the outside and then after harvesting freeze them, after 24 hours being frozen you can peel the traces of rez that makes it sticky off the glove and smoke it

I had this problem a few days back, some how cotton balls were involved and it got messy.

i'm with you. i've tried everything and nothing beats a little vegatable oil and a paper towel.

man i can't even imagine the wretched mess your hands must be without gloves. my hands get a mess just squeezing the buds to check how dry they are.

oil works great, but in my experience it serves more to "un-sticky" the residue rather than remove it, meaning my hands aren't sticky but the clumps of shit are still there.

i use alcohol prep pads (like the things they swab you with before you get a shot) to remove the bulk and oil based "goo gone" spray to finish the job, but i haven't had REALLY messy hands in a while.

what do you hate about gloves? the sweat? the snugness? allergies?

Didn't know about the oil. I used alcohol just because I'm constantly cleaning my scissors.
