I'm just going to use the hack saw for now, I can always go to target if all else fails. How hard could it be it hack through a plastic shelf

it all depends if its thick or not, mine wasn't very hard to cut through, but the sides and back were pretty thin, the top and bottom are semi thick though. I haven't tried cutting them...

I was able to pierce it with a steak knife to test it out, I think i can manage. I have been thinking about using my 400w in there and building a custom 4 in cool tube to fit. I wonder if a td-100 would cool the hood, while my td-100x would be on my filter for the room.

Hey man sorry for the change of topic in your thread but I need to ask.

I am thinking of getting a TD100 or TD100X, and I'm wondering about how stealthy you can get to be using either one. Since you are into stealth and you have both, you should know how well they fit the application.

I intend to put one of those DIY pencil-cup filters on either one of those fans, and I will not be using much ducting since it is for a stealth cab.
If you can give me some feedback on their behaviour, under similar circumstances it would be great.

BTW I think a 4" tube for a 400w bulb might be a little tight for the heat to be evacuated. continue to use the 6" if your with your 400w
