my outdoor plant is about 2.5 feet right now. the winds have been pretty bad were im living. so i used a stick for support. i decided to use wire for it, which was pretty dumb i strapped it down to tight the stem i guess and when it starting to boost the stem got thicker and caused the wire to slit into the stem. 3/4 of the stem is slit although its holding up right now. i added a few more supports and jut used hemp this time but its still hunched over alittle bit u think its gonna be alright is there anything else i should do and how long willl it take to re cooperate

Try to bandage it up with some duct tape if it's really hanging badly. Make sure there is no extra water/ moisture accumulation in the area prior to taping so you don't cause rot. After a few weeks it should heal itself up mostly with some scarring probably. Hopefully this will save your plant. Good luck

I used plastic cable ties and clear plastic when this happens. growth is slowed for a day or so , but hey canna is tough and will fight for life as much as any other living creature.

This happened to me on August 15th of last year.HPIM2200[1].jpg

And here it is 2 months later packed with budHPIM2475.jpg You may notice its a bit shorter than the other, but this was just the pheno and NOT the break . It was shorter from day 1.

Foliar feed-spray the bitch with seaweed & molasses mix. This will strenghten the trunk & branches to such an extent that spider mites can't bore into the plant. Plus, the plant will be a lot more healthier
