Stealth Suitcase Grow

I didn't mean a higher wattage bulb, I meant could I run more, lower wattage bulbs? And my setup is extremely pathetic at the moment and I am only growing bagseeds to get my feet wet so im sure I'll be mauled to death by trolls if I post now. Haha
I have done it with two 23 wats (image below),and it was definitely hotter than the one 65 watt-I would stick to one bulb

Having said that-with two 23 watts I couldnt think of a cheaper way to start growing

One larger bulb is better than 2 smaller ones as far as yield anyway

I understand your concern, but I have a lot of control over the height of the plant

I have them in 4 inches of soil-this will limit their height no question

I have them on minimal nutes for first 30 days

And they only receive water every 10 days for the first month-you can control growth with drought, and not affect the health of the plant :)

I am growing an autoflower strain,so no LST or topping

I have removed a considerable amount of leaf from the plants today.

I think its better if the bud sites are not completely shaded by all those big fan leaves.

Also in miniaturizing these plants, they are more compressed and lose their natural open architecture,so removing the fan leaves is the only way to go IMO

Awesome grow cereberal, Im going to attempt my first indoor grow soon and I believe I want to try a micro grow first because of the cost and the covertness of the entire grow. thanks for the motivation. kudos

Ok just a quick update.Today is the end of week 4 the plants are 28 days old and have recovered very well from the plucking I gave it 2 days ago.So much so that I have removed the next largest set of leaves to really get the light right in and penetrating into all bud sites.

Plants are only 28 days old and have finished stretching, and are starting bud production :)

Must be the 24/0 flowering lights from seed accelerating the plants cycle

Ok here are my plants after the extreme defoliation process they underwent.Completely healthy, tons of lower growth, and a cluster of leaves around the bud sites.

Plants are only 35 days old.

So it seems that autoflowers respond well to defoliation :)

I started removing leaves when the plants were at the height I wanted in flowering, they didnt grow any taller.

that's awesome, I can't wait for the harvest.
I found your suggestion about that affordable air purifier pretty useful to keep in mind too. By the way, is it too noisy perhaps?

On its lowest setting it is audible in the room its in-definitely,but not majorly so-and is the quietest you will get-for the money

I have found that hanging it in a closet (i just use fishing line) reduces the noise a lot (as its no longer connected to the floor) -and with the closet door closed-i can easily sleep in the room and not hear it

Hanging works best-dont try anything else to stop the vibrations.

I smoke in the same room i grow in- it cleans everything perfect :)

If you want really silent-then spend bigger and get the 3m filtrete fap002 (i think thats right)

Cereberal, this is by far the most creative grow I've ever seen. You have inspired me. +rep. Also, what kind of container do you have the soil/plants in? It looks like a laundry basket only smaller.

Thanks for the kind words dude :)

Its just a little plastic container that I bought a set of three of them at a supermarket, and just used a plastic refuse sack as a liner.

So here is my little ganja hedge this morning day 48 from seed

And I gave her a little trim-not too much

You're welcome. Hell, you deserve it. Keep up the good work, they're coming in nicely. Anyway I've got few more questions for you.

1. What are the dimensions of the container? (how deep/wide/long)

2. Do you do something for drainage or do you just water carefully?

3. Any particular brand of "regular potting soil"?

4. What's your opinion about using bag seed for this. (for what it's worth, the bag was really good. lol)

Possibly more to come. Thanks in advance

Container is 30cm/1 foot wide by 20cm/ 8 inches deep by 10cm/4 inches in height

I find a half litre of water every 3 to 4 days (twice a week) keeps the plants nice and happy

I just used some that was laying around the house- just as long as it didnt have any added nutes-I wanted to keep this grow organic.

I love the idea of bagseed- the price is absolutely perfect :)
