stealth speaker box build

i built a grow box out of a old speaker box i had laying around. i put a light and a fan in there with little ease and it looks great. but when i ran it and took the temp it was 87 degress F. is this too high? also i am going to grow using a bubble set up will the incoming air for the plant cool the air in the box? im new to grow boxes but i have to hind my grows now.
thanks for the help:-P

no the air from the bubblers want help. you need a bigger fan or one for exhaust to suck out the heat! sounds interesting id like to see pics! 87 is lil high need to be around 75 to 83 degrees f

haha nice. what kind of light are you using? im assuming a flourescent of some kind, how many watts?

and i dont think 87 is too warm. should be fine. i've heard some strains prefer cooler temps for budding though, and the purple strains will get more purpling with lower temps. not that color matters though lol.

if you still want to lower the temp, the only thing i can think of besides a bigger or more powerful fan, is do a hydro system for ur plant, unless you already are. the evaporation might cool the box down a little, but probably not by much. putting a fan over the water reservoir or the wet grow medium will speed up evaporation and help cool it down even more. i couldnt tell where you had the exhaust fan because the light was so bright.

good luck :bigjoint:

its a 25 watt florcent buld made for aqutic plant growth. friend gave it to we when he gave me his fish tank. it was never used so though i would give it a try. hope it works. im now working on pluming in another fan that will be at same level as the plants. should this fan be intake or extake?

i have put another fan on it and it is holding temperture between 75-83 right were i was aiming for, im now looking for a strain that will be able to grow with the space i have, this box is going to be a cloner box i am using 2 larger speakers that are larger. they are 30 inches tall. any one have a stair that will grow within the space i have.
