Stealth room grow 4x4 to 8x8 smell questions

Ok. So I'm considering starting a stealth grow. But this isn't going to be the conventional micro grow. I am aiming towards growing about 2 pounds per harvest which should only take about 8 to 10 plants which I will be growing in 5 gallon buckets using either DWC or a drip system.. I'm leaning towards drip for energy efficiency. but alas, I was wondering how much carbon I would need to completely eliminate the smell as i am attempting to avoid going to jail for this. I saw the do it your own carbon filters that have been posted using stockings and pencil holders. I went to walmart and found a large wastebasket version of the pencil holder and got to thinking that I could use atleast like 4 of those filled with carbon inside of a duct with the exhaust fans blowing through that but i dont have much experience growing that much or anything at all and was wondering how hard the smell is to get rid of towards the end of flowering.. as it can be pretty stanky. any help is appreciated and validated answers mean much!

Sup helms, I am still in my learning process and hope this helps. I believe you should go ahead and buy a carbon scrubber/filter and inline fan combo. I trust someone who got paid a good piece of change to design something for a particular purpose vs a stoner who coppied ingredients and shopped at wal-mart for a little bit. Looking at spending 150 for a filter/fan combo on amazon or ebay. Spend the money now to stay out of jail(GOOD FILTER) or save some money, go to jail, and pay a lot more later in life(DIY FILTER).

I would definitely agree with por2rich, if you're growing that many plants a scrubber fan combo would be best for you. And with a grow of that size it will be cost effective IMO

hey bro u def need a carbon filter cuz as soon as its in 2 week of flower it will smell ur whole house or aprtmen up with out a dought and the more they mature the stronger the smell gets, YOU NEED TO HAVE A VENTELATION SYSTEM sorry to say it bro but ur going to have to spend like $200 bro better then going to jail specially if ur talking about growing pounds. if i where u i would do a small test run so you can of a very small plant and u will see that even a small plant will stink up ur room and ur house

i started aalso in a small closet with no vent and it came back and bit me in the ass, dont take any short cuts when growing bro it will be in the best intrest for ur plants and for u bro
