Ok, I've been reading the last few pages and I want to talk about ph.

I have very hard water from my tap (~330ppm) that I use unfiltered.

But, I use General Hydro's Flora Series with the hardwater micro(which has ph buffers). I don't even check my ph anymore. I simply add my nutes to the water, then add 2.5ml of GH ph down per gallon and I'm good to go.

SO... mix your nutes first, then add your ph down/up. It works for me.

no stuck with gh for now until i hear some good news about em, but they had some kind of dry that you put in while flushing that is supposed to take a couple days of drying and curing. sounds cool. but went with gh

Hey gr33n and/or Longhorn, how it going fellas ??? Still lurking around checking out yalls grows. I got a question for yall two guys OR anybody else that wants to chime in, please feel free.

What (if any) PH/ec/tds meter are you guys using ??? I am in the beginning stages of needing one and was just wondering which one you guys are using ???

I also made a seperate thread on this to try and get different opinions and/or suggestions, feel free to post in there too.

I use the $89 Truncheon Style Nutrient Meter, a simple solution to PPM measurement. The meter measures on three different scales; EC, CF and PPM. The monitor is completely waterproof and has an auto-on feature. To get a reading, remove the protective cap and insert the electrode into your solution. Everything else is automatic!
I also use a $59 pH and Temp meter.
I got them both from Stealth Hydro.

hey Rose, do those happen to have back lights on the screen (so you can check in the dark) having trouble finding one of those.

The ppm meter does have lights you can read in the dark. The pH meter does not, but you should be doing all the testing while on 24/7 lights, or when you go to 12/12, you only test while the lights are on and leave them alone during the dark period.

Hey guys!!

Been a bit since I have posted anything. The buds are going so well. A few of the trichomes are turning orange and all the leaves around the bud look like they have snow on them and they are extremely sticky..One thing I did was pull the leaves off that had nothing to do with budsites. I wanted to try it, and oddly enough, the buds got REAL REAL thick. It took them two or three days. The plants never showed signs of shock either. I can tell you though that the Humus Acid is a real good additive. After I add that, the next few days the leaves will stand straight up in the air like they have a woody!!! I will post pics this week..Sorry about turning this into a football thing Gr33n..

Dirt,

I don't even own a PH meter or PPM meter. I plan to purchase one, just haven't gotten around to doing it. I did have to order more nutes from HTG and had to call them today because my digital ballast crashed. They rock there, they sent out a new ballast to me via two day shipping at their expense...who would do that? Thank goodness I had my CFL's laying around..
