hang in there therion. My first grow was a waste of time, I ended up with nothing. I gained a ton of expierience to make my second grow that much better. You'll do fine. weed is a forgiving plant.

:peace: and luck

Yeah I'm starting to lose plants. Getting used to the bubbleponic system is hard. It's mostly water level issues. They were getting too much water.

I'm sprouting more seeds day after day and experimenting as much as I can.
I have 1 plant that is going to make it. It's a TOUGH TOUGH TOUGH plant that is just eating as much abuse as I can give it. Which is really helping me since it doesn't just die and it gives me time to judge my problem.

Hey green, how often do you use the Foxfarm nutes and how much? I think what you know could help me out since you're obviously having better luck than I am.

I have 4 seeds of Purple Kush that popped this morning, going to rack them in the system tomorrow after a complete res drain. If you could tell me what you're doing I'd appreciate it. I wanna give this another hardcore shot.

Therion, I went back and looked at your journal, and it appears to me that you are not REALLY using the SH Bubbleponics system. I might be way wrong, but it looks like you your tank is very shallow, or not 18 inches deep.
AND, do you have the submersive water pump, in the water, pumping nutrients to the cups through the feeder tubes? And I also see you got 20-20-20 regular fertilizer for nutrients, is that correct?
I and everyone else here would love to help you, if you can give some more details on your system.

Therion, I think if you got to stealth hydro.com and read there .PDF of instructions how to use the bubbleponic system it will help you a lot.

I put in nutes whenever I cleaned out the resevoir, or about once a week, and In the bubbleponics system I'd use about 1 capfull on smaller plants and then 2-4 in 5 gal buckets. I didnt use any nutes until the plants were about a week and a half old, and then I started with VERY VERY little nutes, like a half a capfull.

:peace: and happy growing

Therion, Also, the net cups should not be submerged in water. You need a water pump pumping the water+nutes into the cups, like a drip line. then once the roots drop out of the bottom of the cup, you can take the pump out, cuz the roots will drink the water, but you only want water at the tip of the roots, cuz they need air too.

damn I wish I could just come to your house and see what you got goin on so i can help. hehe.

good luck.

therion, OH AND ONE MORE THING!

make sure to SHAKE the nutes in the bottle very good before using. FF nutes are organic and all the good shit seems to sink to the bottom, if you dont shake it up all your doing is adding like green water to your plants...lol, so SHAKE IT GOOD!

I have 2 external pumps with 1 foot bubble bars. And no it's not a SH system, it's a knockoff that's pretty much the same thing.

I'm using FoxFarm nutes now. Grow Big & Big Bloom.. well Grow Big only right now.

Lighting are CFLs, 6x 20-something watters.

The tank itself holds about 8-10 gallons.

Therion, the bubbles just keep the water fresh, you need an internal water pump hooked up to water lines that go into each pot, they need to get water+food that way.

yeah you have the airstones going, however you need another submersible pump that is flat at the bottom of the reservoir. It sucks the water and nutes out of the reservoir through tubing. That tubing is fed from the pump up to each one of your net pots. Fill each netpot halfway with Hydroton. Run that tubing coming from the reservoir through the net pot and it should then sit on top of the Hydroton. Place your germinated seed about a 1/4 of the way inside the cube. Set the rockwool cube on top of that airtube and Hydroton. Fill all the rest of the netpot up with hydroton all around the side of that cube. Plug that pump in and let it run non stop until the roots come out of that netpot and touch the water in the reservoir. The top of the water level should be approximately 2 inches down from the bottom of the net pot. The air in between the net pot and the water leve is extremely important for root growth. Plenty of air and bubbles will make those roots grow very quick. No nutes at all until you see the first two leaves appear on the stems. Hope this helps...

Gr33n,

the girls are so damn tall that I had to move the light to the very top of the cabinet. Their growth in the up direction has finally started to slow and now they are getting bushy. I have only three plants left in the cabinet. Wont be making some stupid mistakes I did last time. They are going through a gallon of water every half day right now...The girls are now about 3ft 5. There are bud locations all over these things...funny thing though, they don't stink as bad as they used to. I wonder if that is the norm for them when in flowering...They still stink, just smaller amounts. I also have put my SH flowering lights in there....they love all of that light..I ordered a two grow tents this week. Going to have one for moms and one for new crops. I am not going to clone very many. I am going to order 2 new seed strains and start from the ground up again. Only keep one mother from each strain I grow, and grow those strains at the same time I am growing new strains..that make sense?

OHHH Those Longhorns are on a roll!!!

I'm heading to Wal-Mart here in a bit to pick up some stuff for my poor broken, beat up, and dying truck. If this thing doesn't stop acting up on me, I'm going to have to destroy it.. It's eating my marijuana growing fund.. :o If I was 100% redneck I'd be writing a song about all of this... unfortunately I'm only 30% redneck and 1000% fucking awesome.

I'll see if they have any pumps. I'll just do a branch system to all of the pots. Glad you guys told me that stuff, now I know exactly where it all went wrong and how to fix it.

You just wait 2 weeks.. bahahahah.

I sure am enjoying this thread and watching you guys grow......and learn as you grow.
When you are on GROW nutes, you use a lot of nitrogen, and that is what makes the SKUNK CAT SHIT smell. After you go to 12/12 and BLOOM NUTES, the smell is not half as strong because they are not eating and farting out the nitrogen.
