Awesome thanks. I thought i had it all backwards. Thanks for the pics of the light traps, i've been wondering how Im gonna do mine. Mine might end up being cardboard but it'll be that same basic design.

The principal the light trap works on is that light is directional but because air is a gas it can flow around bends easily while the light gets trapped behind. with a light trap even as simple as mine it stops all light and even quieted my fans down quiet a bit so its a win-win.

I know the concept, just had to see one more built :P. I forgot that my cab is right up to a wall so i had to have my intake hole (of the light trap) facing down instead of back (ie my hole is on the bottom, not back of the box). It definitely works as a light trap (only a tiny bit is shining DOWN, towards the ground, sandwiched between a wall/cab... not worrying about light getting up there) just gotta make sure it doesn't cut back on my air flow. Still thinking of how im gonna make one for my exhaust as this one will be in plain sight... (dont want a cardboard box duct taped to teh side of a cabinet that's supposed to be stealthy)

Just relocate the exhaust to the back, not really anywhere else to put one except the floor of the cabinet if its going to be stealth.

It's starting to look like i should have done that (put the fan on the back). i didn't do this in the first place because my fan weighs almost 4 pounds and the back of my cab is that shitty cardboard stuff... i just had a feeling it wasn't going to hold. Okay so here's the deal. After putting the light trap on the intake my temps went up to almost 90 (they were hovering around 85 so its not a HUGE increase, but an increase nonethless). So i decided to scrap the carbon filter (cut down A LOT on my air flow) and i built a lil trap that i can fit on the inside of my box. I'll put a vent over the exhaust fan so it doesnt look like a gaping hole in the side of the cabinet. Im not worried about people seeing a vent as I (eventually) plan on turning the top half of my cab into an actual media cabinet so i'll have a legitimate reason for the ventilation. Thanks for the ideas, will post pics when i get it all set up (waiting for the plants to go to sleep so i can move them into a closet and do some real work inside the cab).

i saw your fan it seems like the same type im using on my box which is a 6" axial fan, what i would do is replace that cardboard type back on it with some MDF. very durable and come in easy to work with 1/2" thickness and mount your fans to that. use the extra MDF from cutting the back to make the light traps. make sure your light traps have a large enough opening to allow for airflow or else it doesn't matter what cfm you have.

So just before anyone says anything im not growing them on this level i just moved it down for a visual. My question is how would y'all recommend training the plants up to the screen? should i start now or wait? should i bent the main stem down below the others or should i top it? i am new so input would help

I would top that taller plant, leave the smaller plant as is. You can start training them sideways with some clothes hangers cut into hooks. My main stems are almost all horizontal now. Check my thread for some pics, just posted a nice comparison set.

Ya, i tried some quick light traps, i need to work on them some more. This has proven to be the hardest part of my setup =/.

pics of my girls on the day of week 4 being lastnight the larger one is the sour diesel smaller white widow. i put a pic of what shelf they are on and one of them on the bottom so you can visualize them in the grand scheme of the box size. let me what yall think and when i should put them into flower i was thinking another week or two? also while moving the box the timer got reset and they got 48 hours of light is this going to be ok? or will it make them hermy?
