Day 1:
Well, It's time. Time to start my first grow. I today started 2 bag seeds, Not sure what are, I was told they are "gods vagina". Yes, I know the pineapple express reference but that's what i was told. Two days ago I actually started one of these seed but I officially think it's dead. Think because of neglect, No watering in a very humid area. I'm hoping for the best out of this grow. But I notice a lot of treads with first grows, so "don't expect a lot".
The grow area is actually a "stealth" box, but it works. I live with the parents and need to be a little low key. The box itself is a 2'9' home theater speaker box. I hallowed out the back of the box and replace it with a particle board. In side i put 2 CFL's off front side of the box over the plant. Both of those lights are 6500k for veg right now. Keep in mind this set-up isn't completely finished. But to go on, I just got the pot in there right now. I have no fans right now, but I've got a PC fan that I'm going to rig up in the box. I was using the Everything d.i.y. tread, and it shows how to rig up a PC fan to a 12v. So I thought it was so "easy", spent 1 hour trying these two fans just to find out I missed something when reading. mine i was using is something like 200ma and the one I need is a 500ma. Ridiculous, now i need to find that adapter so I can have and inlet and exhaust for air flow. She needs to breath in those tight places. If anyone knows were I can pick something like that up please post in this thread. I still need a little bit of money for a few random things, thermometer, ph meter, and to rig up my fans. Don't want my girl to get to hot.
My soil I'm using is some generic soil from menards, a local "everything store". But all in all its really pretty good. The Npk value is something like, 10-5-7 ratio. I'm not 100% on that number but it's close. I'll check more tomorrow, atm I'm typing this up and looking at my baby.
Right now I am germinating with lights on 24/0 hoping for faster growth. Like i said tho the on in the pot right now might be dead. Crossing my fingers. I'll post some pictures tomorrow I am getting a digital camera from a friend. I'll have to admit the box isn't to impressive now but it's coming around. On a side note, I think I'm going to have to LST this bad girl.
