what soil are you using?

some oraganic soil i picked up from the local hydro store, you can find a picture of it on the first page of the thread

here are some new updated pics! it seems some of the the very bottom leaves are dying off because they got burnt so badly but it doesnt seem to effect the new growth at all, its still very green and growing well.

they bounced back real nice. i'm definitely going to try a cfl grow next time. gotta see for myself what they can do.

I'm sure they'll turn out great if you started one, I'd be using a lot more lights if it wasn't in this tiny box since the temperatures are raise too high

yeah i hear you, i think i'm just going to stick with the closet and try cfls instead of hps. just to see if i can.

Looking good. CFL's arent bad at all. Theyre cheap and simple giving out barely any heat. I too wish i could use more lights but i have a small box which cant hold much more light.

High YeahRight !! I just wanted to say great job and keep up the good work!! This is probably my first post, but i've been learning and reading on here for the past few months. I will be following your awesome stealth grow and hope to gain a few pointers along the way ( there is great info in here for any other newbs like me ) to make this short i wish you the best of luck and look forward to learning more and more from your grow and apply it to my first grow im starting! I have one question though. How was buying from Nirvana seeds, the shipping time, i guess you had no problem with customs? and also i seen sara was it with a lil more leaf burn then jenny, how far away did you have the cfls, and from seeding your light was 24/0, around 17' days u swtiched to 12/12? i also am getting the book budsforless do you feel it has made you more aware and confident in your grow? sorry for the long post dude, lol!

No problem, I'm more than glad to answer your questions. I was using 4 CFLs when I received those burns and they were about 1-2inches away which was just a little too close but the main reason they burned was because I simply cannot maintain the temperature with all the lights confined in such a small space. If say you were growing in a room with much more space, it is recommended you use more lights as close as possible without burning. More lights = more growth and come around flowering time the closer the lights = the more weight in buds. The CFL book by seemorebuds has for sure helped me very much. The book gives you day by day instructions and pictures of how the plants are grown from seed to harvest. This is a good starting guide for noobs like myself. Always try to have the lights around 2-3inches but just be observant to your plant to make sure its not being burned. The reason why I switched to 12/12 only on day 16 is the small space that I have and also because the CFL book explains why. saying its a smaller plant but can produce just as much weight if it were to stay longer in veg state. I'm more than willing to answer any questions as well as any suggestions on the grow. Thanks for tunning in!

Some new pics here, the new growth is looking great. Nice and green and no real signs of burning at all since I reduced the lighting. In no time I will see some signs of sex, I know they're both female because i got feminized seeds.

Great news today! I just received my carbon filter sheets from the UPS. I'll be adding this onto my fan once the plant gives off a stronger odor. So far it's not to a point where it is really noticeable.

you are tops after all this time searching ive found heaven lol man ive been looking for a good post on blue mystic grows and there has been none that was as complete as yours so far bless you and your grow im subscribed and +rep for your time and grow.. my babies are 3 weeks and are very beautiful they stay short for awhile dont they..and i do cfl's as well keep up the good work.. check out my thread also cfl cardboard grow...im goin to flower next week so ill have some questions for you since your are ahead of me so far...Peace pot prosperity

hey ya right, can you post a pic of the new lights for me, i was checking some out today i just wanted to get a guess of size in your grow box! and have you used any fert's or anything at all or just water so far! Thanks again dude!

Well so far I've just been using 2 42watt 2700k CFLs during flowering and used 2 30watt 6500K? CFLs. I have not used any nutrients or fertilizers throughout this grow. Just soil and water. I'll be posting pictures tomorrow morning.

whats up yeahright thanks for stopping by hope to see more of you at my grow yours is still looking well as always keep it krack'n i put up the pics of my lights for you it just a simple ghetto rig with 4 x 26 watt 2700k /4 x 23 watt 6500k / 2x 40 watt 6500k until i go to flowering on the 21st then ill add the other 4 x 42 watt 2700s and drop 2 x 23 watt 6500 to get the kind of full spectrum @27,000 lumens 282 watts 2700k and 126 watts 6500k i hope that will be enough to produce some good buds..peace pot prosperity.. c u soon
