What are the dimensions of your dresser? Be sure to have a fan on your plants too, it'll help them develop strong stalks. And once they both sprout you should be able to drop the lights within a few inches to make sure your getting the most out of your lights. CFLs are good, but only when their close. Best of luck man!

I have that same thermometer/hygrometer!

Hmm, I'd wait up to 5 days or so, but that's just a guess really. I've had seeds that germed pretty slow before, but nothing longer than that.

If u put a piece of glass under the cfl's, basically between the lights and the plants, but closer to the lights, it should reduce temps to ur plants a least 6-10 degrees most of the time!

Really? I've never heard of that but I might try to find some glass around here to try that thanks for the tip!

my guess is overwatering is killing ur roots, and thats why its dying from the ground up. I used to go to a one stop solution station 4 all problems and im pissed because the OG Growfaq is gone forever :'((( anyway sorry bout ur luck im sure someone with more knowledge will help ya out better in the mean time google growfaq and then look for plant problem sections.

edit* a quick look at the base of the stem near the dirt should confirm/disprove my theory

http://www.drugs-forum.com/growfaq/GrowFAQ Basic Topics.htm - some if not most of what i was talking about, youngin. Find this Nutrient Disorder Problem Solver by Jackerspackle

then read #10.
If you think this is more likely than overwatering you ought to buy a ph test kit from Lowes/HD. The white leaves kind of give it away, i think.

then look for [h=1]Plant Abuse Chart and Photos by Nietzsche[/h]
and nearly at the bottom, you'll find a more indepth look at FE deficiency
"Caused by factors that interfere with iron absorption of roots: over irrigation, excessive soluble salts, inadequate drainage, pests, high substrate pH, or nematodes. This is easily corrected by adding an iron supplement with the next watering."

Ive never had a ph prob that serious in soil and if youre not overwatering my next guess would be the drainage. Solution? Perlite; of which i dont see any in your mix

Oh and, "I dont think i can grow a plant... smething always happpens", dont be so easily discouraged ;D

good luck

so what should i do?
easy answer - you should take the time to read the resources provided 2u.

water when the pot is lite - if thats too hard go pick up a moisture meter from walmart/lowes/HD and while youre there pick up the supplements metioned in the faq

does your pot have holes for drainage? are you going to transplant to a bigger pot later (if so make a soil mix equal parts dirt and perlite)

as far as will it live - if youre still seeing new growth i would say be hopeful, but in the meantime, you should probably be watering around once every 5 -7 days or less depending on your moisture retention. if you get the moisture meter(10$) you should water when the root base reads between 5-7, or when the top inch of your pot is bone dry.
